Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
In Dec. of 2007 I signed on with a MLM company in Orem Utah and soon realized it was not what I wanted. I phoned the company and asked to be removed from their client list. I was told to send a fax or email. I did both but continued to be billed. I had AmEx remove the charges but MXM re-charged my acct.

I filed a complaint with BBB. The issue was not settled.

Looking up a comsumer protection site I found the following:

"MXMarketing Inc. committed a deceptive act or practice by: indicating that the subject of a consumer transaction had sponsorship, approval, performance characteristics, accessories, uses, or benefits that it did not;

failing to provide goods or furnish services to a consumer within the the time advertised or represented, or within 30 days, after receiving payment, without providing the option to the consumer to either cancel the agreement or extend the date; and failing to refund a deposit to a consumer within a reasonable time or 30 days after a valid request for a refund from the consumer." Fined $7,500.00 12/06/06

Also: "David Griffiths and MX Marketing were found to have committed a deceptive act or practice by failing to provide goods or services after having received payment" Fined $1,000.00 10/03/05

In addition to failing to refund my fees. MX Marketing gave my AmEx card information to ExtremeSavings.Net, 1850 E 53rd St. Suite 2. Davenport IA, 52807. This act was confirmed with a converstion with an individual at Extreme Savings.Net. If fact they got my AmEx number the same day that I signed up with MXMarketing.

I did not give my credit card number to be used by a third party.

In response to my filing with the BBB in Salt Lake City I recieved this reply.

Customer Support (David Webb) "MXM is in no way affiliated with Extreme Savings nor has MXM and Extreme Savings ever been owned by the same company or person(s). Extreme Savings independent distributors encourages their downline members to join MXM as a way to build their individual businesses." This does not answer the question of how Extreme Saving got my credit card number!

I am surprised that Andrew is the only party commenting on MXM here at Ripoff Report. I was employed by David Griffiths several years ago. Every customer of his that I spoke with was very unsatisfied with the service or lack of service by MXM. After I was no longer interested in working for MXM, I had great difficulty getting paid by David Griffiths for my time of employment. When I had returned to the office I had been employed at, I found that MXM/David Griffiths had been evicted for non payment of office rent. I tracked down the new location address, and was still not paid when I requested my paycheck after many phone calls and visits. I filed a complaint with Utah Workforce Services/Utah Labor Commission. David Griffiths admitted I had worked for MXM and agreed to pay me. I did eventually receive payment. I found the management to be very unscrupulous and would not recommend any person to work for, or be engaged in any business relationship with David Griffiths or MXM.
