Grant's Appliances offered a rebate of $500 in free groceries if you bring the ad with the coupon 9/27/09 through 9/30/09 and purchase an appliance over $399.  We did that, I filed my paperwork, and it was validated by MyFreeTravel as valid.  I printed and copied everything I sent.  I sent in my $100 worth of grocery receipts on 11/6/09, with well over $100 worth of FOOD purchases, as required by the rebate company.  I haven't heard anything or recieved my first Visa gift card which was supposed to be $34.95 ($25 for monthly grocery rebate and $9.95 "refundable registration fee").  I e-mailed them, and received the same response others have received - their office has been overwhelmed, etc.  I called, and they are "closed for the holidays".  I also called on 12/15/09, so it's suspicious that they are closed for so long for the "holidays".  I checked the BBB website, and they lost their BBB rating recently.  I'm assuming they've closed, and I just want my $9.95 fee back at this point.  I'm calling Grant's Appliances, since I talked to both their local and corporate offices about this before I even sent anything in to register, and I was assured that this deal was legitimate.  I feel that Grant's should reimburse its customers for the registration fee.  I'll send another report once I talk to them.
