Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I recently moved out of an apartment and had called this company to come in and clean the place. They had told me they had been in business for several years and it sounded like a good company to do business with. I told them the size of the apartment, and they told me they would charge a minimum of $150 and a maximum of $225.

I thought this was reasonable and agreed to it. I gave them my credit card number over the phone, big mistake, and setup an appointment for them to come out.

The day they are supposed to come out, I give them a call to see if they cleaned the apartment because I hadn't heard anything. The owner, Vanessa, answers the phone by saying "Hello?". At that point, I thought I had the wrong number. I asked if this was the cleaning service, and she replied back saying "Yes, sorry we didn't come out today, we just got really busy".

I should have just cancelled the whole thing right there. They don't answer the phone professionally, they don't show up when they say they will, and they do not give you any notice that they will not show up or have shown up.

However, I didn't cancel, instead I rescheduled for the next day.

The next day rolls around and I never receive a phone call from them. Near the end of the day I notice a charge on my account from a company called "EXOTIC VISION PHASE II" for a total of $360.00. Uhm.. what? I look it up on Google, and I find out it is some hair salon in Decatur. I call the place and ask why I just got charged. The lady tells me that the maid cleaning service had told her to charge it. So, I just got charged more than I should have from a different company for the cleaning company.

What a mess!

I then proceeded to call the maid service and ask why I was charged so much. The owner explains that the place was 'filthy' and they were charging extra because of it. I asked her why did they not call and get approval before they started, or call before they were going to charge in excess of what we had agreed upon. She told me that they had tried calling, which is BS, I had my phone on all day and did not receive a call or a voicemail. They should have received approval before doing anything if they are going to charge more than what they said they would.

I tried calmly reasoning with her, yet she got all emotional and start yelling and then hung up on me.

Several phone calls later, several more times being hung up on, I call the bank and dispute the charge.

Several weeks later, which is today, she calls me and tells me that I owe her the money and that I have to pay her today otherwise she will sue me. I tell her I will be glad to pay the amount we agreed upon, nothing more. She won't accept that. So, I am assuming I will be sued.

Do not use My Miracle Cleaning Service in Atlanta, Georgia. I just had an awful experience with this company, and I am still dealing with it. Terrible customer service, very impolite and unprofessional. The company also goes by the name M M cleaning service. Their phone numbers: (770) 389-8651 and (404) 418-7568 and (678) 432-0601 I recently moved out of an apartment and had called this company to come in and clean the place. I asked her why did they not call and get approval before they started, or call before they were going to charge in excess of what we had agreed upon. She told me that they had tried calling, which is a lie, I had my phone on all day and did not receive a call or a voicemail. They should have received approval before doing anything if they are going to charge more than what they said they would. I asked the owner if she could refund the extra amount back to my credit card. She said no, and she said that she will send out a check for $75.00. That would make my total charge come out to $285, still $60 more than what she quoted me. At first, I was ok with this - I just didn't want to deal with such an angry person. But then I decided to stand up for what is right. I called the following day and informed her that I am going to dispute the charge with my bank and I politely ask for her address so that I can send a check out for $225. This where she gets really mad. She doesn't give me her address, so I ask again, and she still won't. That is when she tells me that the check is already in the mail and that she has already withdrawn the money out of her credit card account. I am assuming she was thinking that if she withdraws the money that the credit card company can't charge her for it. She hung up on me. In another call, I tell her that after what has happened so far, I didn't think I can trust that she has sent me the check. I said I just want to cancel the charge and send a check. Every phone conversation went the same, I was firm but polite, she was rude, angry and after getting all worked up, she would hang up on me. I decided to wait to see if the check would show up before disputing the charge. Over two weeks later, the check still hadn't shown up! I call the bank and dispute the charge. The bank does their own investigation of the situation. Several weeks later the bank finishes their investigation and removes the charge from my account. The owner calls me and tells me that the credit card company has done a charge back and now her account is "all screwed up". She tells me that I owe her the money and that I have to pay her today otherwise she will sue me. She tells me that I 'deceived her'. I have been completely honest with her--I've told her exactly what I was going to do. I tell her that she deceived me because she told me that the check was "in the mail" even though she hadn't sent it. She admitted to this saying that her husband told her not to send the check. Anyway, she asks where I want to meet so that she can get her money. I tell her I will be glad to pay the amount we agreed upon, nothing more. She won't accept that. She tells me that she has contacted the apartment complex and they have given her a copy of my driver's license and have told her they are willing to help in any way possible. If this is true, why is Post Apartments giving out copies of my driver's license? Where is my privacy? Can anyone call Post Brookhaven and ask for a copy of my driver's license? This is ridiculous! She calls me back a little later to see if I had made a decision on the location that we will meet at. I tell her I will send her a check for $225. She tells me that is not enough and that I have to send her $300, and she will eat the $60 extra. She then finally gives me her address. Today I sent her a check for $225.00. So, we will see if she is still going to sue me for the remainder of what she thinks is due. Ugh! How can people like this be in business? What happened to customer service and common courtesy? Do people not realize that referrals by word of mouth are very important to small companies, especially with today's economy? This is such a hassle. This company should have received approval before doing anything if they are going to charge more than what they said they would. When they arrived at the apartment and looked it over, right then they should have called me to tell me it was going to cost more and not proceed until they get approval. If they couldn't reach me they should have left a voicemail, and left the apartment without cleaning it. If you had brought your car into a mechanic to have an oil change done. The mechanic looks at the car and finds that you also need new spark plugs and a tuneup done. The mechanic then proceeds to do the extra work without notifying you or getting approval and then charges your credit card the extra amount. Is this the right way to do business? I don't think so.
