Company speacilizes in renting short term furnished apartments in Montreal. I dealt with their representative Angele L for a week rental of the Bamboo Lodge which they advertised as being $1700 a month and decorated by a designer. I arrived on the 9th of January 2010 with a friend and discovered to my shock and horror that the place was a dump. The only thing missing was rats. The property was on 105 Milton. The unit was not even cleaned from the last tennant. I called the office and demanded my money back, the rent should have been $170.00 a month. They refunded my money and luckily my friend took me in for the week. They offered me a coupon and asked me to try them again on another property. So two weeks later I again need a unit for a week and called Angele of MyStudio.com. I reminded her of my experience and she recomended another unit at a different location. I asked to see it and I traveled to visit it prior. I agree to rent it and asked them to send a contract. Three hours after receiving the contract and confirmation Angele L told sent me a e-mail saying it was cancelled. after calling to inquire why I was told they received a more attractive offer for the unit and I was out of luck.
Imagine someone coming and not knowing anyone in the city and encountering this. It tarnshes the image of Montreal. These people don't deserve to be in business.
