NAC - National Advertising Center - Entertainment Buzz - Aqui Y Ahora - GREEN, REPORTER On The Town Promised "Green" magazine, but drafted "green" from my bank account rancho Palos Verdes, California
Salesman from NAS talked smooth line about how well the service I provided would fit with Whole Foods clients. Said magazine would be placed on a separate rack by exit doors. I signed up for 52 weeks of GREEN magazine at 4 Whole Foods stores since my service covers a wide area.
After being notified that ad was published, I went to each Whole Foods and looked for the magazine. I found them at none. At one Whole Foods store, the marketing manager told be that they had been approached and declined to have anything to do with it. This was one of the stores on my contract! (LIAR-never intended to put there)
I wrote a letter stating my findings and demanding a refund and called the contract void for NAS non-performance. I also called and said I was not paying because the magazine was not at the stores. A few weeks later I got a voicemail message that it was now at two stores outside and that they moved my ad elsewhere but that I would get it all in writing in a couple of days.
Two weeks later, I still have no information about where (if anywhere) my ad is. And a new wrinkle: NAS created and processed an electronic check that says "No signature required because electronic authorization was provided by your depositor" in the signature block. I did not authorize anything! (LIARS) I don't know if this bank fraud or forgery?
I had deliberately not used a credit card for my down payment because I wanted to control my payments after I verified the result. I appears they kept my bank account information from the down payment check and issued this payment check against my bank account. When I couldn't balance with checks I authorized, I discovered there $360 check that I did not authorize. This is so unusual that my bank had difficulty with the paperwork!
