This scam comes via regular postal mail in a standard self-addressed envelope with printed recipient address label with the words "Thank You!! in the left bottom corner. The contents include 3 pieces:

1) An 8 1/2" x 11" introduction letter on colored stock paper from Nancy P. Rossini (4195 Chino Hills Pkwy. #499, Chino Hills, CA 91709) who is claiming to be a satisfied participant of the program with photocopies of 5 alleged weekly paycheck samples on the back, ($744.00 (01-28-05), $860.00 (02-04-05), $782.00 (02-11-05), $698.00 (02-18-05), and $826.00 (02-25-05)).

2) Accompanying this letter is an 8 1/2" x 14" information order form on white stock paper from JoAnn Kutner further explaining the opportunity and identifying herself as the President of Executive Publications (1223 Wilshire Blvd., No. 814, Santa Monica, CA 90403) that further explains the envelop stuffing offer and includes a Home Worker Registration Form at the end of the back page. The "processing fee" for shipping and handling of the "startup kit" is $17.00, with a "Triple-The-Money-Back Guarantee" that you will make at least $800.00 a week with their program. You are instructed to send a check or money order payable to Executive Publications. Then it suggests that there is a delay in processing personal checks and encourages sending a money order, cash or certified checks to expedite your order.

3) Lastly, a non-postage paid, self-addressed envelope to Executive Publications is enclosed.

This scam is aimed at individuals who have expressed interest at some time or another on getting information regarding home-based businesses. Somehow a mailing list with my name on it got into their hands. Don't fall victim to this if you receive a similar mailing!

These two individuals (Nancy Rossini and JoAnn Kutner) have already been identified as trying to pull off an identical scheme under the business name of Mayflower Publishing. My attempts to locate further information to validate these businesses have come up suspiciously empty. I strongly advise all consumers to be aware of this scam and NOT foolishly send them any checks, money orders or, heaven forbid.. cash!!!
