So I have given nasty ringz (Michael Hontz) every attempt to correct my problem with what I deem an acceptable solution. I do not recommend nasty ringz at all, shoddy workmanship, horrible customer service and overall inferior product.

I ordered my rings Dec 4th at a discount $50 off special for Xmas. $100 deposit they start working on the rings and balance due in 2 weeks Dec18th, which I completed on time and then I made one final change on the 19th. I was told 3 week turnaround time. So when it was Jan 5th I asked for an update and kindly asked if they would be ready at least by Jan 24th. He told me they would. I figure heck it’s been over a month I’ll be happy if I get them by the 24th as promised for a car show I would be attending. Jan 15th rolled around and thought I would check in to see if they were completed and ready to ship as they would mostly need to be shipped that Monday or Tuesday to make it to me. He then tells me I have 3 more weeks left since I ordered around Xmas. I then and wanted my money back if they didn’t even start on them yet. He ignores me. I follow up with his partner who then sends me pics of my rings in the final stages. I say ok great. Upon looking at the picture I see they are completed incorrectly writing on both outside rings and not the inside driver only like I wanted. They then told me I could accept the rings they way they were, refund or wait who knows how long to correct it. I chose to get the ones already made as I could live it. Tells me they will be sent out Monday, Monday was MLK so they didn’t go out. I then ask on Tuesday for a tracking number. He refuses to give me one and says I need to get it from someone else but they are in the mail. I did get them Friday with ever getting a tracking number.

Here is where it gets crazy I open them up and immediately find the led strip just popping out of the rings, and a copper wire that looks like it was pulled out of the strip. I knew it was going to cause problems as with anything electrical wires need to be connected. I tell nasty ringz (Micheal Hontz) within mins of opening the box and show pictures about that and they (Michael Hontz) instruct me that it is nothing and to just rip it out!  I knew that was ridiculous so I left it alone and installed the rings and low and behold the ring with this wire hanging out only lights up just a little more than half way on certain colors and on others only lights up green. I tell them show him pictures  and he tells me I must have destroyed the ring installing it which if anyone knows  is impossible. The led strip is a sealed unit and where you install them is a smooth surface. He then tells me I'm can buy my own strip and I have to pay for it. I want it right I said and he told me that they refuse to deal with me at this point and I’m collateral damage. I know realize I have paid almost 600 bucks for something that doesn’t work and im stuck with them. Let this just be a word of warning to all who buy them or thinking about buying them.

Bottom line they are very dim and cannot be seen during the day at all. Inferior lighting sources, and use trick photography to make them look very bright. They are practically useless at night due to your headlights being on.  If you want more than just a gap filler and want real halos go with something else and god forbid if you do order do not ask about your order or when it will ship or if it’s almost done. I truly believe Michael Hontz sabotaged my lights and did this on purpose. DO NOT BUY! He will not fix his defective product!

This mental idiot will post his diary of a madman rants about how his product is the not at fault and its installation error.  This product is junk.  

Harrassing other companies with threats of  lawsuits on his "patent". BMW, Oracle and American Car Craft was doing this stuff before this garbage China crap made in a double wide.  Get your lawyer and sue then instead of getting your jollys Hontz and scouring the internet for people telling their experiences with you and your garbage business and services by looking for anything about you and your crap product that a 10th grader could make in shop class.

Just because you threw a few bucks out at lawyer to file for a patent doesnt making it so.  Thus the term "pending' after it.  

Companies such as Oracle have been doing Halos for years. What you have done is copied someone elses design no more no less.  

No go on back to your hut you you put up in the back of the swamp that you didn't get any permits from the county.  

You could take a dump and file a patent pending on it or file for one.  A patent pending means NOTHING until you have one and you won't be granted one becasuse you invented nothing Hontz.  

Go back and beat the girlfriend up again, she should have kept driving after she left the first time.

Wow the business owners reply was just insanely crazy and very unprofessional.   

Regardless who is in the "right or wrong" here your rebuttal to the problem as the business owner is immature, and lacks class.  

While I fully agree that the customer is not always right and in todays world of consumers going on line to bash a business and in some cases for a shake down, your rebuttal is beyond comprehension and I for one would never do business with you based on that.

Doing some fact checking online as I was interested in this product it would seems the owner has a "loose cannon" approach to how he replies to almost everyone that has a concern or comment about the product.

What is the patent number or patent pending number on this product that the business keeps teling everyone about?  

In the meantime it would appear American Car Craft already offers a product similar to these rings the consumer has choices.   I would definite choose to stay away from this company.

I'm the jerk? Your the guy who doesnt stand behing your product. That is exactly right I did not want a refundd I wanted what I ordered to be correct and not broken which is obviously was. You would not fix my lights you said take it or leave it. Instead you blame me for you sending me a defective light stripe! You wont fix a 15 dollar mistake so I will make sure you you lose more then $15 dollars worth of business. Tell your lawyer that. I will make sure you lose business. I WILL MAKE SURE OF IT. I think I've already done a great job. You have lost work left and right because people know you are complete and total a-hole to deal with. People ask me all the time do you reccommened Nasty Ringz I say hell no! Please, Please get your attorney invovled. Just make sure hes not the same one that tried to get you off all your licencing misshaps and fraud you commited with your Poolhall/Arcade. We all know how that ended up. He sucked! lol! You do nothing but cut corners just you did with my lights. The way you run your last business was proof the that.

 We offered a full refund for this jerk. He refused it stating he likes the product and wanted to keep. Have that in writing. He also called me a bunch of profanity filled names. Sorry you don't get good treatment of you act like a little kid. He stated he would spend every waking moment trying to s**t us down. We are only getting more business from his meth fueled rants. As people go to see what he's crying about and see the huge amount of happy customers. And to think I would sabotage my own product is plain idiocy.

Why would I do that? I guess he knows he's a pain in the a*s and that's how others have treated him in the past. We took pics and videos of his product hooked up and being packed up. He was not aware and then went to say it must have happened during shipping. Not possible. Anyway.. I'm done here but you can bet this clown will come back and type another football field length rant. We have contacted our attorney and he's very interested as he didn't use his real name to write this but used mine.
