April 2003, I tried again to get a refund of my $1675.00 from Spring 2001. I called the NADN's preferred client number and gave them my membership #. They said they did receive my fax requesting a refund and why, they also told me I had a R.A.#(return authorization number) in their computer and that was to be used to return the initial kit they sent me. I told them I still had the kit and they said great, then we are authorized to refund you $800.10 as soon as we receive the kit. So I mailed the kit back to them "return reciept" at a cost of $12.00. As soon as I received my return reciept showing that they did receive it I called them back. They said they did receive the kit but there was a problem with refunding my money and that one of their managers would call me and discuss it with me. Well, I have since called them several times and that person is never there but they say they keep putting my request in the computer and that he will call me back the next day. It has been over a month now and no call back from the NADN and no refund. When is a lawsuit going to take place against this company? I do have a letter from the director stating that all my Federal back taxes are cleared, but when I received a recent letter from the IRS they stated that I still owed them $6000.00 and needed to get it cleared up. I did not bother explaining the NADN to the as I am sure by now they have heard my story many times before. Fortunately, the tax years 2001 and 2002 I have large returns that will pay off the IRS plus all the penalties that the NADN has cost me. I an so sick of dealing with companies that I can not drive right to and complain that I refuse to do any business with any of them unless they are near so I can kick them in the *^$@. We must have enough complaints by now to file a suit, don't we?

Your story is a terrible tragedy. And I have been burned by NADN also. They ignored me until it was time to renew. They have called me several times both at home and at work. I was adamant and focused when saying no. They even go to the point where they had and account manager call me to see why I was not renewing. When they want more money they can be polite and courteous but do not fall for it. Do not believe for one minute that they care about you or your well-being. They are slick and they are all liars, don't mistake their desire to pump you for more cash as caring. When the time comes, they will call you and they will lie. Keep your conversations with them brief and to the point. You may never get your money back, but it is up to you to be a cold brick wall when they call again. And believe me they will call again.
