David D. Vavro, Director and CEO of National Vacations, Inc. DBA Horizon Travel of Arlington, Tx. Incorporated in the State of Texas No 800207037. The Texas Attorney General Filed suite February 21, 2003 against Sun Country Travel Carrolton, Texas , and David D. Vavro charging the company with using deceptive marketing practices. David Vavro has now reopend under Horizion Travel.
A temporary Injunction was issued on March 5, 2003 in the 44th District Court in Dallas County.
The Better Business Bureau of Tarrant County has received 123 complaints against this company (Horizon Travel) during it's three year reporting period. The BBB has requested company advertising but the copany has failed to furnish.
I have been ripped off for $2778.00 which I requested by Certified Letter return receipt requested to be refunded in November 2005. I returned all of the membership materials 3 days after sigining up. They have not responded and have kept the membership materials.
I now have contacted an attorney in preperation of filing a cause of action under the Texas Deceptive Trade Act. to suite for return of all of my money and cost's of court.

Partial Settlement Payment Received from Horizion Travel

To all who reads this I wish to report that after 6 months I now have received a partial settlement of the $2778.00 originally paid in November 2005. I am still looking for the balance that I have written Randy Silverson, Membership Services - Horizon, Travel Arlington, Tex who said he will refund the balance immediately. My wife and I signed a hold harmless agreement in promise of full reimbursment which we have not yet received. The Better Business Bureau of Fort Woth has in its files over 125 complaints filed against this company in the last reporting periods.

Vavro of 2628 Leisure World Mesa, Arizona 85206 are the initial board of directors. Assumed name is Horizon Travel Filed Jun 18, 2003 principal David G. Vavro 2229 Avenue J. Suite 105 Arlington, Tx. 76006. Change of Registerd Agent/Office for National Vacations, Inc. Document No. 800207037 2415 Avenue J. Suite 114 Arlington, Tx 76006 Etc David G. Vavro than Nov 12, 2004 change of Registered agnt/registered office document 800207037 to 350 N. St. Paul Street Dallas, Tx. 75201 CT Corporation System etc David G. Vavro. All of this information is public record and is necessary when drawing up a suite under the Deceptive Marketing of Travel Club Membership (Deceptive Trade Pratices Act). If I was trying to locate Mr. Hose at 602 south colorado celina, tx 75009 he may be reached there which is a matter of public record.

This media does not allow others to contact one another so that they can confirm and possibly join together in a law suite or other cause of action or to start a process for return of moneys they have been ripped off. I hope to hear from the people in McKineey and others in the Dalas Ft Worth Denton area of North Texas. In either case file a complaint with the BBB of Tarrant County and the Texas Attorney General Office in Austin. I can also be found in Celina as Richard Hose if this update post's at the above number. We need to get together as a group and organize to have the Attorney General open it's old law suite and start a new case to keep others from being ripped-off.
