This company should be avoided. They waited until the day of the move to tell me that they did not accept checks and so my move was delayed for two weeks. I had to sleep on the floor of my new apartment waiting for my belongings to be delivered. I received no phone call until the day they arrived.
My furniture was scratched and broken. My mattress was missing altogether. I waited weeks for them to reimburse me, and finally went out and bought a new mattress. Nationwide countered that I did not give them enough time to find the mattress. They had from the end of November until the 1st of January, and no mattress or check was delivered.
I wrote to the Better Business Bureau and nothing was done. My repeated calls to Nationwide only elicited hostility. Finally, their number was disconnected and all communication stopped.
This happened six years ago and I am still angry about it. They demanded to be paid in full before even starting the move, but did not reimburse me for the lost mattress or the broken desk and filing cabinet. Buyer Beware!
