Nationwide Security Solutions satellite phone missing Vancouver, Washington
On 11/16/11 I was sold a security system by two representative of Nationwide Security Solutions.
They (Chris and Logan) told me I would have a satellite phone in my unit (I do not have a cell phone) so I wouldn't have to worry about my phone line being cut and an emergency call would still go out. They said a large portion of my $42.99 a month bill goes to AT&T for the satellite phone and there was nothing they could do about that. They said there was a big advertising/promotional sale going on and the company would pay for everything they could. This was mentioned several times.
The next day I realized I didn't get the Alarm Users Manual and a lady from the company said she would send one and it could take a couple of weeks. It didn't come and didn't come and I was busy with holiday company and decided I'd call again after the new year. Someone I talked to about my system during the holidays was very skeptical and I made a note to ask about the satellite phone.
On 1/5/12 I called Nationwide about the user manual and the lady said she would photo copy one and send it to me. I told her about my skeptical friend and wanted to make sure about the
satellite phone. She told me there was NO SATELLITE PHONE in my unit!!! Unbelievable! That phone was a big deciding factor in my getting the system. She said they could put one in for $10 more a month (is this called "bait & switch"?) After I got off the phone I filed a complaint online with the Oregon State Attorney General's Office.
Today (1/12/12) I filed an complaint online with the Better Business Bureau. This company gave me such a great deal so I would promote and advertise for them. They will get lots of advertising from me - but I don't think they'll like it!
