Qwest Cell Service Cell Phone Down Grade Denver Colorado
You know many of us in the mid-west have been loyal Qwest customers for years and thousands of us have their cellular service through Sprint right now; but in February 2009 that will change and I think for the worst.
Verizon a wonderful company will be taking over the cellular service for our well lets say until they get tired of the BS that Sprint put up with.
When I visited our local Qwest store to get the full explanation of the switch and find out which phone I would be eligable to get, you would not believe what phone I was given a choice to chose from just two phones and they look like something you would give your junior-high school child for a first phone. The sales person said that all flip-phone are basically the same and if that is the truth then why did I pay 169.00 for each the 3 Katana-II phone which me and my husband have. So I have come to the conclusion that if any Qwest customer comes in whether you have a cheap everyday phone or a business palm-poilt you have no choice in the matter the phone which is one of only two free phones offered is the only choice you have.
That is a down-grade to me and paying for the same service on that cheap phone is not even an option. The LG-VX5400 ($40.00)and the Samsung XCH-u410($59.99) are the only phone you can chose free anything else you have to pay for on your next phone bill.
I don't know how many of you have done your research on the services you will be recieving, but in your best interest I advise you to do it now. February is quickly approaching and if you have not done the switch by then you will be without cellular service through Qwest.

Even employee's are feeling slighted on handsets.

When the deal with Verizon was announced all us employee's were told we would recieve a comparable phone to the one's we currently had with Qwest. This turned out to be less then correct but just so you know the replacement's for your katana's are now the samsung u430 and the LG VX5500. They are slighty upgraded verisions of the phones you were originally offered.
