Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

This company has been operating for several years in the South of France.

They have long term employees under a status called auto-entrepreneur (self employed). They work full time and never get a contract - which is illegal in France. These "employees" work 24/7 to provide support to the clients but never actually get properly employed or any kind of job security and can be fired anytime! As the owners of the company prowdly says.

They have been investigated by the French authorities multiple times but somehow always seem to escape any trouble and just get a little slap on the rist. I am talking over 15 people who have worked for them and just suddenly been fired or work load reduced, meaning being paid less.

Now it seems that the owners are also being scammed. They are now not receiving the reservations when they come in which contains the price paid by guests. Meaning Nice Pebbles can change the monies and get away with it. Also they add a 80pounds admin fee to every booking when they already take 25% from the booking amount as their fee.

Note that if you take beach towels, guests and owners are charged for their rental. This is a double, even triple charge since the owners has already paid for Nice Pebbles to buy them.

This company has been accused of not paying their taxes in France correctly - and instead they pay them in England where it is cheaper...

And then they are nominated Entrepreneur of the Year by Sir Stelios!? Do you think after hearing this he would want his 10,000EUROS back??

I am an Australian property owner who uses Nice Pebbles to rent my apartment. Some weeks ago I wrote to the owner of Nice Pebbles to discuss the issue of staff turnover. The owner took considerable trouble to provide me with a full explanation, which I accept. The basic problem is Fench employment law, made worse when the employer is domiciled outside France.

As a business owner myself I am aware that, no matter how hard you try, sometimes you drop the ball. This applies to the selection of employees also; sometimes you employ someone who becomes malicious and atttempts to damage the employer. In this instance, it appears that an ex employee has stolen Nice Pebbles client list and emailed the clients (including myself) with malicious remarks and a link to Ripoff Report.

As a Nice Pebbles client I am completely satisfied with the quality of the company that manages my property. All the staff that I have come into contact with are of a high quality. They ensure the properties are well presented and well maintained. People like this do not usually work for bad employers.

I have strong confidence in Nice Pebbles and will continue to use them to represent my property.
