NLMC Mortgage Fraudulent, Deceptive, Predatory Lending RIPOFF, BEWARE! North Huntingdon Pennsylvania
In early July 2006, my father applied for a mortgage through this company's website located at www.nlmcapproved.com.
He began working with their representative "Tom Alexander."
To make a very long story short, there were many hidden fees, lies and problems from the beginning.
Ultimately, my father was lied to regarding his credit, his down payment, and his ultimate approval. He went to close on his home loan 2 times. Each time, paperwork was missing, interest rates were crazy, and everything was screwed up.
We ended up going with a different lender who was able to close my father within 10 business days.
This company has only tried to contact my father to get money for an appraisal that he never has seen, ad doesn't even think was really done. They have also not returned phone calls or faxes regarding the lies, stories, and theivery of their loan officer, Tom Alexander.
Among the many lies that my father was told, these were the worst:
1.) His credit scores had dropped dramatically. (in fact, they had risen more than 50 points!!)
2.) His interest rate was to have been 8.95%. In fact, they closing paperwork (the only piece of paperwork that he saw) stated 12.5%.
3.) Fees mysteriously appeared that weren't included in the GFE, or on the HUD.
4.) He was given at LEAST two separate closing dates at which none of the paperwork was ready, and none was ready to go for the closer. Each time, my father was told a separate lie, and story.
5.) That his earnest money would be lost, should he choose not to go through with the loan with NLMC.
Beware before doing business with this company.
