North Dort Transmission Clinic Shady business practices, beware!! Will RIP YOU OFF! Mount Morris Michigan
I took my 4x4 snowplow truck to this shop to get transmission rebuilt. He told me he put in completely different rebuilt transmission. Approximately 6000 miles later it started coming apart. When I asked him to look at it he wanted full price. So I went to another VERY reputable shop and had it looked at.
Thats when I was told the trans in my truck was old, never rebuilt. I was shown the internal parts. The owner of the shop pointed out how the internal parts were old. Very old and worn. Burnt metal and clutches that were disintegrating. Impossible without total failure of internals. Yet my trans didn't fail internally. The case had broke open.
The shop that has my truck now has informed me this is common practice from small shops with shady practices. They'll get a junk yard tans and clean it up and put it in. Give you a year warranty and roll the dice. If it goes out before then they fix it again same way. They still win.
Check the online reviews on this guy. He has many reviews and they all sound the same. BE FOREWARNED!!
Now I will be out another $3000.00 to get truck up and running. $5500.00 total outlaid because of shady business practices. By a shop that'll simply RIP YOU OFF!
