On Feb 1st 2014 I received an offer to do a 14 Day trial of the weight loss supplement Carcina Cambogia and the Flush system that was recenty seen on the Dr. OZ show. I looked through the offer and it stated they would send you a 14 day trial and if you were not happy then you could cancel the order. If you did not cancel they would start automatic shipments and charge the credit card on record.
I authorized the shipping charges. No where does it state that the 14 day trial starts the day you place the order, not the day you receive product. I did not receive my product until 7 to 8 days after I placed. When the product arrived there was no paperwork with it to say how to cancel order or when to cancel by. There was no phone#, email or website listed. I was unable to get back to the website I originally ordered from.
I started the product. There was no difference in energy level or appetite suppression as stated or quick weight loss. I started calling on Feb 11, 3 days before by 14 day cancellation time. No one answered the phone. They give you an option to hit 1 to avoid long wait times and a rep will call you back. I received no call back and could not reach anyone. On Saturday Feb 15 I finally responded to the email order confirmation I got from the CEO Chris who stated I would be 100% satisified or my money back guaranteed. The email I received back was automatic saying that the mailbox was not regularly monitored and provided a different phone# for me to call.
I called the alternate # and still received no answer or call back. I called 3 times waited upwards of 20 minutes or more and finally left my # for a call back all 3 times.
The charges appeared on my card Saturday afternoon. I finally got a hold of someone at Nutrashift this morning. She was extremey unpleasant and stated I was out of luck and that they had no record of my calls or emails. I was put on hold & offered a 50% refund. I said that would not work and asked ot speak to the manager. There are no managers available I was told. I asked to speak with Chris the CEO who signed my order confirmation email stating I would be 100% satisified and was told the CEO does not take phone calls.
I told her I wudl be contacting my financial institution to not pay the held amounts to the company and was told they would fight all claims and win. She kept stating she had no record of my emails or calls. She put me on hold and found my email and offered me to return the product for a 100% refund. I got the RGA#'s and the send back information. She said it would be 10 days from the time they get the product that I get a refund. I do not trust that this will occur. I am still going to fight the amount, I will return the product as well in the meantime.
I mentioned that they had multiple complaints against the company and she told me she knows nothing about that. This is an obvious scam.

After clicking on a link on Facebook with a news headline and a picture of a svelte looking Rachael Ray, I was offered a "Free Trial" to try Garcinia Cambogia. It took me to a screen that simply asked my name and where to ship the free trial. I entered my debit card number. It stated that I would only be charged $5.97 for shipping and handling and did not include any other information. I then clicked submit.
Once I ordered, I received an email receipt from NutraShift, whose name was not disclosed on any of the previous forms. I then looked up the company to do some research. After reading these Ripoff Reports, I was immediately apprehensive. I paid a visit to the website itself, and did not see any mention of a "Free Trial" but noticed their products were on the pricey side. Why would they offer this for free?
Somehow I was lucky enough on Facebook to stumble upon the exact same offer again. Only this time, I scrolled down on the form and on the bottom of the page was a "Terms and Conditions" link. When you click on this it tells you that by signing up for the free trial you are also agreeing to sign up for a monthly membership and you will be charged for the bottle once your 14 day trial has expired. The price is $69.71 for one bottle. Your membership lasts for three months.
I received my bottle of Garcinia Cambogia on Saturday. Finally I decided to call today, Wednesday, and cancel. Please note: my card has not been charged yet for anything but the shipping and handling. I have an unopened bottle of overpriced Garcinia Cambogia and they can have it back if it comes with all these "conditions".
I spoke to a surprisingly nice representative who asked me how he could help me. I told him that the ad I saw for the "Free Trial" was very misleading, that I didn't want a membership, and that the product costs too much. He explained to me that the ads are 3rd party advertisements, and to always read the terms and conditions as they can be very ambiguous. The gentleman told me that if I would like to cancel that would be fine but that he would like to offer me 50% off for the product. I told him it was a tempting offer, but I would pass.
He then gave me a cancelation number, and said to go ahead and keep the bottle for free - if I like it, I can call back at anytime and order another bottle for half price ($34.99). Overall my experience was very pleasant having not been charged in the first place and calling within my 14 day window.
I am not discrediting in any way any of the reports against this company, I am simply stating that this can be avoided and the experience can end favorably if you always read the terms and conditions before EVER submitting your credit card information to anyone! This has definitely been a lesson learned.
I will try my free bottle of Garcinia, and if I like it, I'll order it through them direct. But next time I see an offer on a fake news report for a "Free Trial" I think I'll keep scrolling.
