This is a warning to everyone that decides to open the door to these type of people!
Met these guys at a local pool hall, one in particular that stuck out from the group, a young Asian guy in his early 20's named Tuan aka Tommy, aka Thomas Nguyen, introduced his colleagues also his "manager" Timmy Salgado.
Later to explain in detail about selling children's books and magazines door to door or at college campuses. After a few drinks at the bar, Tuan spills all about how the sales group works. Admitting how they close on sales by feeding off peoples compassion.
Telling people lies about these books being shipped to "children's hospital". Also "Tommy" goes on about how much his group relies on him b/c he makes all the sales, because he is the "best" one out of the group and becoming a "diamond club" member by how much sales he made. But he was tired of traveling door to door and "lying" to people and being the only one that works out of the group.
Tommy, confided to me that he wanted to get out of the Nexcess group. Being only human and showing compassion for him, I offered him a job and the possibility of what he could make if he called me the next day. Seemed to me he wanted to change his life around.
After telling me he was done w/the sales group, I even offered to help pay for the apartment deposit, with the agreement that he would pay me back.
After working for a couple weeks, his demeanor was different, he was being stand offish with co workers, came up with a story saying his father died of a stroke, only to leave for one day and come back the next day.
On the day of deciding to let Tommy go b/c of his odd actions, he walks into work, just so happens the manager stepped out for a quick meeting before he lets Tommy go. Tommy gets ready for his shift, stayed in the bathroom for a bit, comes out and says he is going to get food and ask if anyone wants lunch. Manager came to work and noticed Tommy was not there, went to check on his cash drawer and it was emptied out.
He took the money and was picked up by someone from the Nxcess sales group.
Being suspicious already about Tommy meeting up with his Nxcess colleagues, decided to drive to location where I first met him at, sure enough we see those vans that these guys use to travel from city to city.
We've already contacted the authorities to let them know what happened. The case is pending.
Pictures were also given to authorities.
Tommy introduced to one of our employees his "brother in-law", after looking at the picture, it clearly was his "manager" who we met at the pool hall, "Timmy Salgado"
This is a warning to all, don't open the doors to your home or business to these people!! They feed off your compassion only to rob you!
