Oasis Moving And Storage If you want to lose your things, use this company Las Vegas, Nevada
I moved from LA to North Carolina and used Oasis based on their initial bid. Of course, that changed. I was quoted one thing on the phone and told that it was based on a certain weight and if that changed once they drove the truck to a weight station, it would be more. Once they got my things into the truck, without weighing it, they said that the price was about double and that if I didn't agree on the spot without knowing for sure what it weighed, it might be even more. Not being a professional mover, I had no way of knowing if they were right or wrong, so I agreed.
Then they gave me the "window" for delivery. 1-18 days. (I was a bit surprised that they could possibly get across country in 1 day, but...) So I went home and waited and waited and finally they called to say that they would be there at my new place on Wednesday. Then they called on Tuesday to say , since I didn't call them back, they wouldn't be there until later. Then it was pushed another day and another and another. Then they came and delivered my battered furniture. One antique desk was missing its wheel (the driver took a photo on his cell and said it would be replaced. It was not, has not been, never will be.)
Then when I began unpacking, I started to see how much has been lost. At present, I can say ALL my music CDs, my telephones, answering machine, many books, one of a kind very large piece of art and more are all gone. The insurance they offer is only per pound, so they told me they would give me $50 if I signed a paper that says they didn't do anything wrong and I am happy with their service. They say they have someone looking for my stuff, but it has been 2 months now and I am sure they will never send me anything.
