I'm sure we have all heard the same complaints, but i still want to post my comment, cause this place isn't just a bad company, they have found a semi legal way to steal people's money. I also might have some new and good stuff. They did the standard give a too-good-to-be-true estimate to make me give 10% down and sign up, then jack the price up above what others would charge after they got to my house and load up all my things. Everyone is really nice and prices are fair until they have your stuff, then you are forced to pay whatever they ask and they don't care what you have to say.
Their drivers try to scam as much additional money out of you as possible, My driver intentionally parked far way and told me I had to pay him $240 because he had to park 310 ft away from the apartment. I told him their is another entrance and if he takes it he can park right in front. He lied to me and said the construction workers told him he can't pass that way, lucky, i've been dealing with this company for over a month and i'm really sick of their crap. I asked the construction worker if the driver could pass and he said, yeah, semi's come through here all the time.
The paper work is horrible and the guys who come to your house know very little english, he told me he subtracted my dishes from the bill, and then i had dishes, so i had to pay him $28 cash??? i didn't even understand why i was giving him money, i just wanted him out of my house. And don't even bother talking to Oasis about additional cash transactions that happen with no receipt.
On delivery charged me more for my couch because it would not fit in the elevator, when i called Oasis, they told me their is no additional fee for this, but they still refuse to fix any of their mistakes.
The usual lost pieces and damaged things, that i'm dreading filling out the paper work for and not expecting much in return. They lost the posts and screws that attach my dresser mirror to the dresser, and he kept asking me where it was.... Ummm, I didn't take it apart, i didn't pack it up, i didn't drive it all the way around the country and switch trucks, and i didn't unpack it, Why are you asking me?
**One thing that i haven't seen anyone else mention that i'm going to look into. When the driver arrived i asked him how many people he was gonna have helping him, he said 2, and i asked something like, where are they from and he said he knows them. While the driver was measuring the distance from his truck to my door, i asked the movers how they know the driver, they both responded.... "We've never seen him in our life, he got us off craigslist". They told me he was paying them $20/hour, and i watched the driver give them both $40 at the end of it for 2 hours of work. When i mentioned it to Oasis Customer service, that was the first time i've heard her stumble over her words, but then she assured me that the random people on craigslist that she knows nothing about would never take my stuff!!!!???? And that sort set me off a little bit
