Our experience with Oasis Moving has been absolutely appalling. Our furniture and belongings were picked up on June 12th, from Phoenix, AZ. The movers showed up 5 1/2 hours later than promised. I had to catch a flight that evening, so I was unable to stay for the duration of the pickup.
Over the following month, we called customer service countless times for an update on the ETA of our stuff. Angela from customer service always promised to call us right back with an update, and then never returned the call. When they did give us an update, they promised that our stuff would 'be on the next truck' five different times. It took 32 days for our stuff to be delivered, and the original promise was 1-14 days.
When our stuff did arrive, the driver came in to collect payment and complete paperwork. He confided in me that he picked up three day laborers to help him unload the truck, and all together they cost the same as one employee.
He then said he was just going to have them unload all the boxes into the garage so that we could sort thru them later. I had to tell them that all the boxes were marked, and that they needed to go to their proper rooms...or at least the proper floor. The boxes were brought in upside down, falling apart, crushed, and filthy...almost like they had been rained on.
Part of the agreement stated that any furniture that needed to be disassembled by the movers prior to loading the truck, would be re-assembled upon arrival. This was not the case. Our beds, crib, desk, and table were not only left un-assembled, but they did not have the hardware in order for the furniture to be re-assembled.
My daughter's two dressers were completely destroyed - crushed and unable to be used, along with a bookshelf. Another bookshelf was not even delivered, and they had to ask us if a lamp belonged to us (which it did not). Several glass items and a stereo were broken inside of our boxes.
The driver just continually tried to smooth things over by telling us the details on how to file a claim for the damage. We called Oasis three times while he was there to report what was going on, and Angela, head of customer service, was completely unapologetic, and just told us we need to file a claim. We told her we were going to hire a lawyer and she said 'Go Ahead' in a very snotty tone.
I am in disbelief at the unprofessional conduct by this company, and total disregard for our belongings. We paid them almost $5k for their services. What a joke.
