Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I too have been a victim of fraudulent billing by USBI/One Call Communications through my modem telephone number. I immediately called my local phone company (Verizon) and informed them I would not be paying the USBI charges and then went to www.ocld.com to voice my opinion. Much to my surprise I did receive an email response from them but lo and behold they were blaming me for not having control of the phone line.

Here is an excerpt from their email "One Call/Opticom is a common carrier whose network was accessed to place the calls via a 1010-access number. Since anyone that has acess to your line can place an outgoing call, you may want to check with your family.... blah blah. Since you were unaware that someone was using our service, a one-time courtesy credit was issued to your number (yeh - i'll believe that one when I see it). We now feel this matter is closed"

I'm not sure what has me more upset, the fraudulent charges or their attitude in telling me what is going on in my house. As the phone number in question is a dedicated modem line, I'm quite sure that even if the four dogs that reside at my house while I'm at work worked together, they still couldn't possibly unplug the line from the computer and hook it into a telephone. DUH

Thank you for listening to me venting and I welcome responses from others in the same situation.
