OneTravel.com ripoff rescheduling flight without notice Las Vegas Nevada
I purchased plane tickets thru OneTravel.com on 7/12/06 for a flight from Denver to Orlando on 12/30/06 to return from Orlando to Denver on Sun 1/7/07 on a 9:10pm Frontier flight so the 3 adults in my party of 5 could return to work on Monday 1/8/07. From the beginning, something about OneTravel just didn't seem legitimate, but I continually checked with them and with the airlines directly to make sure everything was on track.
Our departing flight from Denver to Orlando with United went off without a hitch (despite record snowfall in Denver). On 1/7/07 we checked out of our hotel on Orlando, returned the rental car and approached the Frontier ticket counter at the Orlando airport to find it vacant. I was told by a rep that I managed to locate that Frontier hadn't had a flight out of the Orlando airport after 5pm in over a year and by another rep that that it had been 6 months. Why, then would OneTravel book us on a 9pm flight and why when I continually called to verify my flights through out the next 5 months would they not have informed me of the "schedule change" that they claim later to have been informed of on 7/23/06?
They claimed not to have any of my contact information, but they obviously had my e-mail address to send my confirmation to, and when I filed a claim against the Travel Insurance policy that I purchased along with my tickets, they had my phone numbers.
Frontier needs to take some of the blame here too, because they never contacted me to inform me of the "schedule change", as they claimed not to have any of my info as the travel agency who purchased our tickets did not provide them with any of my contact information. I find it hard to beleive with all of the security issues post 9/11 that it is not required by the airlines to have phone number and contact information of their passengers and the third party company that made the arrangements.
Afeter searching on-line for complaints against OneTravel, I found several. I only wish I would have located these prior to using OneTravel, or that I would have simply gone with my gut instinct.
On top of all of that, after arriving back in Denver and contacting OneTravel and explaining my situation in the hopes of being reimbursed and compensated for my lost income and expenses, the representative at OneTravel was extremely rude and kept interrupting me then accusing me of interrupting her and finally she hung up on me.
