On December 2005 I puchased a Syntax Kolin DLT-2711M LCD TV form TigerDirect in Raleigh, NC. It came with $100.00 rebate that required submission to OnRebate.com. I complied with rebate requirements by completing the steps below within 3days.
- Sign a completed a printed rebate form
- Attached (stapled) the TigerDirect store invoice UPC code
- Included the bar-coded Serial number (pulled from the orginal shipping container
- Included all of signed rebate documents
- Mailed docs vis US Mail 1st class
On December 26, 2005, I received confirmation from OnRebate.com that my rebate application had been successfully registered & given a tracking number. On January 23, 2006 I received an email from OnRebate.com that my rebate status had been updated. When I checked the rebate status using their link, I was shocked to see that my request was denied due incomplete paperwork. I tried contacting Onrebate on numerous occassion by telephone but was left on hold for hours & never able to speak to anyone. I also sent numerous emailsbut never received a reply. I even TigerDirect & spoke to manager only to be told to re-submit the paperwork through them.
This was not the first time that I had used the rebate process & made sure (double-checked) that I had complied with all of OnRebate.com requirements because of the dollar amount to be refunded. I even questioned the process prior to making the purchase so there wouldn't be issues with receiving my rebate.
To date I have not received my $100.00 rebate & have not gotten any satifactory explaination or help from TigerDirect.
