In late November of 2005 I purchased a new computer from TigerDirect and CA Desktop DNA Migrator r11. With this purchase was a rebate of $10.00 for the Migrator only and a $40.00 rebate for the combination of the new computer and the Migrator software. This must be sent in to OnRebate.com. On December 6, 2005, I mailed both rebates with all the necessary paperwork that they required, following every detail of "how to claim your rebate". It did not state to mail by certified mail. I received via email tracking numbers for BOTH rebates. I received notification that the $10.00 rebate was be sent in a few weeks. When I called onrebate.com to ask about the $40 rebate in the middle of January, I had to wait over 30 minutes to take w/ a customer service representative. When she finally answered, she refused to give me a name. When I asked about the $40 rebate she tried to tell me that the $10.00 check had been sent. I kept trying to tell her that it was the $40.00 check I was looking for. She said she would pull the file w/ a tracking number I had been emailed from onrebate.com. That NEVER happened! I again called on (Thursday) Feb. 16th and talked w/ a Lamar he told me that he would get the problem solved. But I could still re-submit the rebate according to him if it had been lost in the mail. He too would have to pull the file (which had not been done according to him) and he would call me back on Friday or Monday he promised. Well, that NEVER happened either. On March 7th, I called, and waited over 45 minutes and guess who answered, Lamar. After brief discussion, I was told that since I never mailed certified, there was no proof (according to them) that I ever mailed the rebate, but I had a tracking number and got the $10 check but wouldn't mail the $40 rebate, who is he kidding. I posed the question, "I'm screwed getting a rebate, then??" And he said YES!!!! This is a RIP-OFF. I will never buy anything that has a rebate using this company again. Oh, and their canned music has a voice telling you that their customer service is the best ... what a bunch of liars!!!!
