Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
Nothing I am reporting is a lie or exaggeration. I am only reporting what I first handedly experienced.

I called this ad in the paper on a Monday:

Receptionist

Fun and fast paced office.

No experience necessary.

Start Now! (303)-940-3580

They asked me to come in 45 minutes later for an interview. I rushed over there. I filled a short questionnaire. There was music playing, a collage of party pictures on the wall. 3 people went in together before me for a group interview. I spoke to Chris Westphal.

He said they had to replace some people who wasted their time. He asked me what my goals were, how much money I wanted to make. He mentioned maybe I was interested in management. He gave me a specific time to call that day to see if I was accepted for a 2nd interview.

I was and went in on Thursday.

There were about 20 of us for a "group-interview". We wrote down a list of available cities. Chris told us the company was going through a $5 million dollar expansion and were opening 25 new branch operations in the tri-state area and 125 new branch operations in the continental US. He said if we were accepted it would be a 60-90 day training program, that the average new branch manager makes $52,000 a year. So were all sitting there listening to all this, wondering what it is we would be training for. We were told to save all questions for the end.

We were told that the company is the #1 distributor of fragrances. They were featured in 17 major magazines. They told us if we wanted to research the company look under Dunn & Brad Street for their credit and liability and the website is scenturacreations.com.

Chris and his sidekick Iris explained the first week we are FNPs Famously New Person which you can figure out really means F***ing New Person. We were told about the training process and that we were to forget everything we thought we knew about sales and go by what they tell you. The FFAAR Friends Family Acquaintances and Relatives where they get most of their sales. The Power Car/ Power Pair Up. They told us training is torture and boot camp with a smile and that we couldn't expect to get rich in training. The pay is 100% commission.

So I was picked for the training group and came back in on Monday with 17 other people. Once again they asked us to save all questions until Saturday! We filled out a background check with 3 references and the cost was $40, which Chris said he would pay for with his own money if we stayed with company. I called all 3 of my references and they all said no one had called them.

We were fed a bunch of bs about all the paid vacations we would go on with the company if we survived the training. Chris told us he has a $250,000 penthouse in downtown Denver and just got a flat screen TV and new car. Which I did see his car with Utah license plate. He told us he was from Utah and was promoted to Riverside, CA 3 years ago and came to Colorado a year ago with the company to open new branches. Now if you haven't lived in Utah in 4 years why would your new car have a Utah Plate?

We were told about the contest to see who can sell the most perfume to FFAAR. Whoever did the best would win $850. Anyone who quits is referred to as a woops a WPS, which stands for Weak Piece of Sh**.

Then on Tuesday only 9 people came back. We were told we did the worst in the company's history and only sold 22 rendition perfumes to FFAAR. People were given $1, $5. What happened to $850? We were told how to sell the perfume telling people that it is the name brand and what a great deal they were getting. If a business says no solicitation we were to go in anyways. We were told to wear comfortable shoes on Wednesday. That's when I figured out we were going to be selling on the streets using our own gas money and not getting any pay for it.

I didn't waste my time going back. They tell you not to listen to anything negative your friends and family have to say and that they are just trying to kill your dreams.

I think it's ridiculous to call anyone who quits a job with NO PAY a WPS. Chris and Iris are very good actors so I don't want anyone else to fall for this. If you see these ads in the paper that sound too good to be true they always are.
