I bought a Dodge Dakota Sport in January of 1999. About two months later the valves started rattling. I was told that Chrysler was aware of the problem and was developing a computer program to fix the problem. I was told this on numerous occasions. Now the Chrysler Corporation is saying that the rattling valves is characteristic of the V6 Magnum engine. They can't fix it and they will not do anything to solve the problem.
They say it will not harm the engine and I say that is bunk. So I have to live with paying $20,000 for a truck that aggravates me with the rattling valves, not to mention the extra gas it burns.
