STAY AWAY FROM DR.POPE!
July 2010 was the first time I saw Dr. Pope at the Orlando Plastic Surgery Center.  I was 34yrs old and wanted to have the "bags under my eyes" removed.  This was my first surgery ever.  Dr. Pope seemed so nice and knowledgeable.  His staff was also very nice and convinced me that I made the right choice in selecting him for surgery.  I was told he did the same surgery on them, and they looked great!  One of his assistants Lisa, told me that she wouldn't trust anyone else but him.  She also stated she was a cancer survivor and that if it wasn't for Dr. Pope she wouldn't have known what to do! Ironically he performed the same type of surgery on her.  She went on telling me that after her surgery she was able to go out to dinner because she had a speedy recovery.  I remember I was so nervous and she told me "don't worry you'll be fine sweetie" .  They never took the time to explain to me that  I was too young for that particular surgery etc.
On August 13,2010 I had my surgery.  As soon as I came out of surgery I was in EXCRUTIATING pain. The pain was so bad that I had to return that same evening to see  Dr. Pope and all he did was look at my eyes and said "I don't see anything wrong and if you go to the emergency they're going to tell you the same thing".  To make a long story short, I suffered a scratched cornea, loss of vision and  permanent scarring on my right eye.
Shortly after I met another female who had her breast reconstructed due to cancer and she too had an awful experience with Dr. Pope!?!
I tried to seek legal consultation back then but was told I had to wait until I had a "permanent condition". I live in Florida, which turns out to be one of the worst states when it come to medical malpractice and basically nothing can be done now.  Therefore I am sharing my story to help prevent anyone else from being a "victim" of Dr. Pope.
I am currently seeing a second cornea specialist for further tests due to pain and discomfort on my right eye.    So if you or anyone else that you may  know is considering Dr. Pope PLEASE DO NOT allow this monster touch you, YOU WILL REGRET IT!
