Be very careful once you walk into a representatives office one on one....they are like car dealers...won't let you walk out until they charm you into making a deal. I joined for one year and my second is free if I'm not engaged.I've been a member for 11 months and no dates or compatable matches. But, unknown to me whe i joined, they have more female members than male .They suggest getting the website for a monthy fee however, the site is padded with inactive members that remain on the site. I n May 2016 there were 25 male members in Orlando and only 11 were active. At every event there are more women than men (their facebook photos prove that..maybe great for the men) but the age balance is rediculous. New members are always very senior men...great if that's what you're looking for. Based on your needs ..Be carfeful before producing your credit card....leave it home and think about it over night. NOT WORTH THE MONEY once they have it you're on your own...they DON'T give you the personal service they or the website claims....until they get your money... personal match making coach ...all a bunch of hu ha, that also to coach/charm you out of your money and THERE is no record check...they only check to see if your card clears the payment. I hope this helps someone....unfortunaltly This is the one time I didn't listen to my instint and get the hell out and do my homework first. If I can't help myself I hope to help someone else...Orlando Singles is ripping people off (old locaction was on Lake Desiny, Maitland,Fl). Orlando Singles also has other complaints on BBB site( I also have one pending) also with the State Attorney General and local P.D. has picked up the investigation. Attorney General Refered me to 4 other agencies where I will be filing a report.

I wholeheartedly support your post and want you to know I had a similar experience when I first moved to
Orlando in 2013.
During the initial interview, they asked me many questions about what I was looking for in a man and why
I thought I was not in a relationship. They used high pressure tactics to get me to an emotional place and
gave their sales pitch at a most vulnerable time. They promised things they ended up ultimately not
delivering and offered safety by claiming to screen their members backgrounds and credit. After the fact
I discovered that in reality, they do not check criminal backgrounds, but do check credit scores only to
see how much money they can maximally charge, which was right below my credit limit. They then
pressured me to sign up that very day and sign a confidentiality contract stating that I would not share
how much I paid since they do not provide such a "great deal" to all of their members. I have never
used dating services before to know enough about them and what they should cost, so I agreed.
A
member is not granted access to their online database until he/she writes a profile and takes a
photo/video shoot that then has to be loaded on their website. They conveniently scheduled my
photo/video shoot a week after I signed the contract- longer than the three days a person has to
legally cancel a contract. During those three days, they led me to believe I was receiving VIP treatment
by calling me and suggesting members (whom I could not see online just yet), after which I never heard
from them until my photo shoot. I therefore had no experience with the services I was paying for prior
to the three day window so that I could know if it was or was not what I wanted.
When I finally browsed their database, I found none of the profiles which they mentioned to me, but only profiles of members
no woman would even remotely consider dating, many of whom were "unavailable" at that! Realizing I
had paid an absurd amount of money for merely access to an online database containing low class
members of society, invites to events which are poorly attended, far away, and cost additional money,
no personal matching service, no other contact besides mass emails, I tried to resolve the problem via
email and multiple phone calls. I requested a cancellation of my contract with a refund. The sales
representatives essentially laughed in my face and refused, only offering me more "deals" to try to
appease me. Knowing that no amount of benefits would make me a happy member further shows that
they are not in the business for their members, but only to make money. I tried countless times to
schedule an in-person meeting, but remarkably they were never available.
To date, I have filed complaints with the BBB, FTC, Attorney General in both FL and TX, FL Division
of Consumer Affairs, News13, wrote a letter to Joe Merigi (company CEO), met with a local attorney,
and contacted the FBI. None of these has resulted in resolution. If you have ANY luck, I would love
to be a part of bringing this company down. Even if I don't get my money back, bringing justice to
all those who they have hurt and preventing them from hurting others would be worth it.
Furthermore, I did some research and found that there have been thousands of identical stories
reported online and multiple lawsuits against this company throughout the United States where
branches of this company exist. Please see below and attached pages. Perhaps you can use this
to support your story with the police.
