overstock.com Overstock Unauthorized automatic enrollment into their "O" club rewards program. Midvale Utah
Overstock.com offers a club rewards program to its customers. While I do not have a problem with the program itself, I take great umbrage at a company that sneaks the programs annual charge onto my credit card. Specifically through Paypal. I did not authorize this charge and Paypal would not correct the situation.
I went through Overstock.com and did get a resolution by way of refund. However, it should be criminal for these companies to take charge of your credit card without authorization. I'm steaming mad and this is not the only company that does this and Paypal clearly does not support its end clients. Paypal is placing the retailers above the people that pay their bills.
If you do business with Overstock, please check your billing for unauthorized use. Overstock and Paypal lost my business. There will be an additional complaint from me regarding Paypal. I'm not a fountain of money people can casually take money from. The audacity of these companies is amazing and the way Overstock spoke to me was as if I had already been a paying member by using terminology reflecting my cooperation and acceptance of its program in the past. Purely offensive.
