FUEL STATION SCAM - AVOID THIS BP FUEL STATION
I stopped to refuel at BP Fuel Station, Patcham, Brighton (bottom of A23). I bought 20 litres of unleaded fuel. When I started my car, I noticed that the fuel gauge still read empty. My car is a new car and informs the driver of exactly how much fuel is in the tank. It read 7 litres - the same as before I fuelled up.
I immediately told the manager that I thought no fuel had been disbursed. He told me to 'F**k Off'
I mentioned it to my close friend who lives in the area and he said that the same happened to him a month or so back.
I am convinced that the fuel station manager is running some kind of SCAM as when I returned and asked for a receipt, I got every excuse under the sun why he could not give me a receipt!!!!
I have since reported this to the Police and Office of Fair Trading.
I would like to hear from anyone who has experienced the same.
