Paired Wine Company advertised a beer and cheese pairing class that was a complete scam. The owner(s) "Chef" Joe Giannini and his gay lover Tommy Spinosa, who with no surprise own that horrid dog day care Urban Pet Sitters that recently allowed dogs to get stolen. Just look at all the reviews that place has on Yelp!

For starters the cheese dislpay was a joke, no silverware, dirty floors, "Chef" Drunk Joe reeked of marijuana, the other owner Tommy was drunk and yelling from the top of his queeny lungs at some poor staff member, and the beer was stuff we could get at Jewel with no instruction really how to pair anything with beer or why!

Then if this crap was not enough: I purchased a bottle of wine that had chunks in it and tasted sour. When I politely tried to return it, the owner Tommy yelled at me and hung up telling me "You need to learn to read". I then made a post on Yelp and got some lame reply from Reefer Chef Joe Giannini... I was dissapointed since that is 2 for 2 and all I got was complete bitchy owners who need to learn how to treat the few customers they have left.

Oh and to top it off my roommate, who is gay, gets messaged on a gay app called Scruff inviting him for free wine and oral sex from no other than fake "Chef" Joe. Oh yeah I need to find the screen shot its classic! Tommy do you know what your partner is doing to lure young gay boys to your wine shop? These guys are greeseballs with no manners!

Do not buy wine from these scum or take their lame classes. I hate to complain, but after seeing the way they do business I just had to vent since I am out $35 for crap wine. They need to learn to Pair themselves up better before they do wine!

I work at Paired, over the past three years and I would like to defend my colleagues and friends. For starters, I know the two gentlemen very well, along with two other staff. To disprove the review and its series of negatives and harmful innuendos, let me say I worked the night of the event, the beer and cheese pairing class was pairing different beers to cheese. There was a full spread of many different cheeses with diposable plasticware, napkins and plates. Joe wasn't there, he was catering a corporate event. We had a representative from Glunz instructing the class. Also, I don't recall yelling. Actually "none" since I have been working at Paired. To insinuate someone was drunk or disorderly is not true. We are not allowed to drink on premise and I know we can't overindulge especially Tom, a cancer survivor on multiple medications.

Not sure what "You need to learn to read" means? Tom yelled this over the phone? The owner? Find it highly unlikely or believable. I have been trained, like everyone at Paired, to treat customers with respect and with kindness. We are in the customer service field to sell wine. We never shoo anyone away or dismiss them. If a defective product from a winemaker is brought back, it is not fair to accuse Paired. We do allow exchanges if a wine is corked or sour. However by law we can't accept returns to refund, because the unopened bottle cannot be resold due to the type of product.

The review obviously reflects some grudge or personal vendeta. Filter the derogatory jabs. To accuse anyone as a pedophile or make fun of their mannerisms, sexual orientation, health, their looks, or any type of behavior or characteristic for that matter, is cruel. So we're clear, I'm an ethnic woman and huge dog owner, who enjoys my job and happy I work at Paired. Just want to be sure the boys aren't blamed futher for any misogynistic, sexist remarks. Phew!
