Patrick Slingo is a thief and a crook.  He was referred by another
company that had just completed major on expected repairs on our home. 
We hired him to do some follow up major and minor house repairs, based on the recommendation in December 2010.  We asked him to provide us with a copy of his business license, insurance
and business card. He said he would bring the license and insurance
information.  He never did. He did not provide a business card either
but some fake me out postcard that said it was before and after
pictures, but were probably some pictures hegot off the internet and was passing it off as his own work.  He left us with the impression he had the business license and insurance and was
having his so called Executive Assistant get it for us.  We signed them contract with this in mind 
(my mistake!!) and gave him $552 down and the key to the house to start
working (another mistake). 

After that he stopped calling, he did not respond to our calls,
numerous voicemail messages, emails or texts.  When he would call back days later, he
acted like he didnt even get the call or message. In the beginning, he
said the smaller jobs would be completed within that same
week.  Not only did he not finish the minor jobs within that week, the
tiny bit of work he did on the house, probably less than $20 worth, was
below substandard and was something a 5 year old could do.  And this was
only putting some caulking up on the wall and in a corner before
painting.  Weeks passed and he had only been to the house 2 times and
did no real work.   To top it all off we had to hire someone else to fix what he messed up!!! 


Additionally, he kept on trying to add on other small jobs or act like
he was throwing something in for free to make it seem like he was indispensable or a
good guy.  Like he was doing us a favor, but he is nothing but a fraud.  I
dont even believe he was qualified for or had the skill and expertise to do the
job we hired him to do, which was going to require him to put up a wall in the
basement.

We continued asking to get a copy of the business license and insurance and he
kept making excuses.  He told his executive assistant and her baby had been sick
and thats why we had not gotten the information to us.  One of many lies.  That's when we
decided to investigate on our own and discovered on the Virginia
Corporation Commission website that his license expired in December
2009.  So he had been lieing the whole time. Then he tried to say he
recently found out that his business partner quit the partnership and he had the license, but by then we already knew the truth.

Pat Slingo is a weasel.  He worms his way into your home, takes your
money and lies to you, takes advantage of people in bad situations that
need help and takes advantage of kind, sympathetic hearts. Dont get taken!!!  He stole our money and our fixture from the house.  We cancelled the contract and asked for a
refund since he did not do any work, we asked for the return of our
fixture and the return of our keys.  He said he was going
to return all of the above and never returned anything.  He had this
fake secretary emailing us saying the check was going out in the mail in
7-14 business days and the key would be returned the following week.  That was 8 months ago!!! We were forced to get the locks changed on the house.

Bottomline Patrick (Pat) Slingo Paslin Renovations is a
thief and a crook. 

He is not licensed or insured and

he does not do good work. 

His work is below substandard.

He is a thief

He is dishonest

He is a fake

Dont let him get you!!
