Paul Davis Restoration Of Broward FL Inc. Lie Cheat, Steal Incompetant Uncaring Disorganized Fraudulant Broward County Florida
My Home was struck by lightning almost 3 years ago. Paul Davis was on scene almost before the fire trucks were and told me they were from State Farm and they would take care of everything. Before the fire was even out they has me sign in a state of shock, an "insurance claim form" so they told me. It in actuality was a contract and they were NOT from State Farm. Several witnesses heard them state that on the scene. Several days later I was contacted and low and behold a repair estimate was given me for the exact amount of my maximum repair coverage. (250k) As well a written statement of 4 months to completion. We met at the house and as I had signed with them and was looking forward to being back in the house quickly, I did not press the issue to much about what occured on the scene. My Son in Law was present upon the mutual inspection of the property and walkthrough so that Paul Davis Restoration could explain to me what needed to take place. One of the first things they told me was that all the windows would be replaced and my son in law asked with what. They said with Compliant Units. My Son in Law stated that there are many Complaint Units and he wanted to make sure that the replacements were going to be of same quality and value as to what was there. I had Bahamian out crank Windows that were quite pricey. They argued that only single hung windwos were compliant and he told them thjey were liars right then and there. Turned to me and told me to get a lawyer. Oh yeah I forgot to tell you. My Son in Law was a licensed GC in SC and a member of the Contractors Specifications Institute. He told me that Paul Davis was Trouble and begged me to do whatever was neccessary to terminate the contract. BOY I wished I had listened.
Over 2 years later and the home is still not finished !!
The work that was done is substandard at best. They refused me blueprints, Stole personal belongings, destroyed other items, caused much more damage to the home than the fire did. Most damage was merely smoke and water. Fire was limited to the garage. Paul Davis's work failed almost every inspection on this job at least once. Stole the new Appliances and only under threat of arrest did they reappear. The horrors go on and on with this company. Paul Davis Restoration is a franchise. It is a bit like going to Burger King and being promised a Home Cooked Meal. They Have a Stove and Food but no talent and plenty of lies. If a tragendy befalls you like this. Make no rash decisions. Nothing should ever be signed till you have had a chance to calm down and review with legal councel what you are signing and what raminfications might be involved. Had I done that, I would have avoided a lifetimes worth of heartache and stress.

I called this customer. She is very nice and told me that she was not even aware that the posting had been made. I asked her if she would send you a rebuttal, but she said that she was not very computer literate. She said that the job had taken quite a long time to complete and that she was very upset about the delays. She said that her daughter's boyfriend at the time was very computer savy and must have placed the posting. At the time, there two hurricanes that went thru South Florida causing very serious material shortages, and very long waiting times for permits. The building departments were overloaded with damage reapir permits and materials were very scarce. In addition, there were cement and steel shortages throughout the US. All builders were being rationed concrete and steel framing material. Please call her to verify that she did not place this posting.
