I signed up for a one year trial membership when the club opened its doors in late 2005. I was told that it was for one year at the reduced price and it would likely be a higher price. I paid one lump sum and made it very clear that I do not want to have it renewed unless I initiate. I paid the one year in full up front. My membership expired Jan 1 2007.

I left several messages on their "customer satisfaction "line - the mother of all oxymorons and never once received a call back. I incorrectly assumed that my membership was cancelled as per my request because I did not see any charges to my Credit card. Seven months later, July 2007, yes, seven months later a rather large charge was run through my credit card for my renewal. I was obviously surprised and I called Pavilions "customer satisfaction" line and let them know they made a mistake. I left multiple messages and never once received a call back. I am sure no one is surprised they do not return calls if it requires them to give the money back.

I disputed the charge with my credit card company and the charge was reversed. They then supplied the credit card company with inaccurate and incomplete information that I signed their contract which allows them to charge me until I bring in a letter to them canceling my membership.

They actually put in writing to the credit card company that my representative called me 1 1/2 months prior to expiration, they also said a letter of expiry was sent and that they only received this info in April 2007. Then why did they charge me in July 2007???

You are forewarned. If you must join this club because some has a gun to your head, give them a cheque. Never, ever, give them your credit card #.

My advice, look elsewhere and warn all your friends, families, enemies that Pavilion does not follow any common sense business principles and they are not in the least bit concerned about customers "satisfaction".

I actually Jennifer in accounting, who apparently answers to know one and sets all the rules that I will take the to small claims court, she welcomed the opportunity and actually told me she was looking forward to seeing me their. I am sure this does not surprise anyone who has had the unfortunate privilege of dealing with her. There are no words to describe her attitude other then to say - they know what they doing, they know they are taking your money and they obviously make it a part of their business plan.

Oh by the way. If you ask to speak to the owner - she tells you that that information is private. She also says she is the boss, she has no boss and she makes all the rules.

Jennifer gave me the same reply...it turns out, that she is Johny Druckmann's daughter (that's why you can't get by her).
