We were clients of Pegasus Satellite for three years. We kept getting strung along in regards to when we would get local channels. After three years we decided to switch to another provider.

We contacted Pegasus and they gave us the information on how to sell them back our systems. They stated that they would send us a final bill. Please keep in mind that we had never, EVER, missed a month's payment and had only been a couple of days past the due date once in three years.

They sent us a final bill with a post mark of March 6. On March 8 we mailed them the check. It cleared our bank on March 10. We then received a demand for payment from a collection agency with a postmark of March 11! When I called to make sure they had gotten our payment, we show a credit for the money owed to us for the systems!

I got hold of "Chanelle" at the company and was told to simply "disregard the notice". When I told her I was furious and that I was going to check our credit reports and that there had better not be a negative notice from their company, she said she would "note that on our account", wished me a good day, and HUNG UP ON ME. No appolgy, no reassurance that she would make sure that the matter would be taken care of. Nothing. Not even a statement as to when the money that THEY owed US would be mailed to us.
