I bought a water filter pitcher for $9.95 from this company. Approximately one month later they charged my card $149.85. This was unauthorized. I filed a dispute with my bank, and the charge was taken off, but I had to wait for a replacement debit card to arrive in the mail, and I had to contact others who had also bought the water filter pitcher to alert them to the possibility that their accounts might have also been used unlawfully.

Thank you for clarifying the terms of our agreement. Ideally, you would want to provide this information to your customers prior to their making a purchase. You would also want to list these terms in the invoice you send to them. I believe that to any thinking person it is clear that your company is simply hoping to deceive the unwitting people, such as the elderly, who would blame themselves for their being mislead by your sales practices.

You simply pay the shipping and handling of $9.95 for the item. As part of the terms of the introductory free offer, you're automatically enrolled into our Super Savers program. As a member you will never have to worry about running out of new filters. In thirty days we'll ship out three brand new replacement filters (a six month supply) directly to your doorstep. Then, you'll receive a new shipment every six months. We’ll simply charge your card on account at the low member rate of $49.95 per filter hassle-free (that's less than $1.49 per day or 25 cents per gallon). The filter capacity lasts up to 200 gallons we recommend these are changed out every 2-3 months optimal use. We simply set up this plan for customers who prefer the "stock pile" method. This program ensures our customers never go without clean healthy water.
