These guys are complete con and scam artists when it comes to lease return. Esp. if they find out you either didn't buy the car from them, or you got a good deal on the lease and/or if your vehicle is top end and expensive. When you plan to return the lease, they'll lookup all your info and be prepared to rip you off. The manager Jim Thomas and Rob Rensen . They're all in this. We were loyal BMW customers until these guys left a bad taste. When we leased the car few year ago, we tried to lease it from them, but the sales manager(s) was not responsive enough. We're not talking about a low end model. It's a 95-100K top end X6 suv fully loaded. So we decided it lease it from Alexanders bmw in Los angeles. They're great. Unfortunately due to lack of time, we decided to submit the lease to peter pan in san mateo. And realized we've been manipulated, lied to, scammed into paying more than 2K in lease wear and tear.
What they do is that they have a number in their head an once they find enough things to mark you up (including tires that are regular wear for the mileage) and also minor dents even in the front bumper (that are just caused by small stones or flying debris). Later we found out that based on theri final lease inspection sheet instead of marking minor dents (whcih are not chargeable) and small dents and small dents which are only $100 or so, are marked up as large dents and large dents are marked up and major dents. Tha'ts how they scam you. Esp. if you seem busy or the more you're trusting them.
They lied to us repeatedly on third party coverage will cover them and you can ask the insurance. All lies, until the contract is signed. We advise other customers (esp with expensive bmws) to get indpendent inspection and also for the final inspection be around the vehicle and carefully check every marking. These guys also to scam you further, they wouldn/'t specifiy exactly how many scratches or dents they're marking up. So when you go and fix somthing and bring back the vehicle, they will find other dents in the same panel to mark up and make up the amount. For them they're a $$$ to collect from you and regardless of how much you fix they will collec tthe minimum. Also just to give a minor ripoff satisfaction to the customer they start with high numbers in markuups such as 3K or so , so they can lower it down to what they actually need.
So avoid these scammers like plague. Find another dealer or even buy or try and lease from better dealers. We go all the way to Los angeles alexanders bmw to lease our cars. They're so good they deliver their car to your font door and even pickup the lease without no hassle.
We've filed a complaint with BMW NA. These guys are cocky and all they care about is the contract and they continue doing this saying that BMW NA won't care.

Tony I’m sorry about your issues that you’re dealing with I talked to the general manager of the dealership to see if there was a way to resolve the issue he basically just said you’re going to need to contact the corporate office in Michigan Penske automotive group. Best of luck I hope whatever is the outcome is something that you’re happy with
