DO NOT BUY A CAR FROM THESE PEOPLE if you do, DO NOT let them finance the vehicle. They will not pay for repairs for which they are responsible for. I bought a car with 97K miles from David at Phoenix Corvette Center which needed repairs that David knew of and failed to mention to me. After putting aprox 2000 miles on the car it needed:

1. Oil change: when I changed the oil, it had only one quart, 2. spark plugs: completly toast,

3. Spark plug wires: burnt,

4. transmission fluid: I took the car to Bell Honda for service and the mechanic advised me that the fluid was "burnt" and appeared it had "never been changed".

5. Front brakes: metal to metal, I finally got tired and embarressed of driving around with the loud obnoxius sound of grinding metal.

6. O2(oxygen) sensor: needs replacement; do not have the money for this repair yet

7. timing and drive train belts: according to bell honda this needs replacement; do not have the money for this repair yet

David and his secretary are very rude and condescending to me when I attempt to call.

David has also failed to apply for my license plates or registration (its been 3 months!) and when asked about this, their reply: "you need to take the car in for inspection" and "we did everything on our part, its the MVD who didn't follow through" WRONG, the car has an out of state title which has an extra 0 added to the vin number. I took the car in as requested and gave Phoenix C. Center all the copies..... still no license plate.

Now, my insurance company and I had a misunderstanding of when insurance was to cancel,(I was in the process of changing carriers) and the insurance cancelled earlier than expected. I now have a new insurance carrier on the vehicle. David at Phoenix C. Center sent me a certified letter stating that "because I had a lapse in coverage" I am in "breach of contract" and therefor my vehicle is in reposession status or I have to pay the car in full.

The car has full coverage insurance and is current in payments, but David is attempting to repo my car. STAY AWAY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!

#2UPDATE EX-employee responds

I used to work for this terrible person back in the 1980's. I was the assistant manager. We were worked like dogs, and were rarely paid as promised. If this is the same "Dave", then you are not alone in getting ripped off. The dude's ol man is a bigshot in the Phx. area, and was some kind of architect. His company has even got caught ripping off a guy getting a vette redone for the FBI!!! He is a creepy little worm, with rich connections, and can't run a buisness honestly and in the black if his life depended on it. There were many issues with money,he seemed to be able to afford stuff for his vette, yet couldn't pay for things like emblems,or paint, so he'd have us steal the emblems from other cars waiting to be done(Was doing restorations back then), and not pay us to buy materials.I can't prove it, but I suspect alot of cash was going up someones nose. I was thinking about this guy, for what reason, I don't know, and googled Phx. corvette center, and this place is what I found!! Didn"t suprise me one bit, that he is still a crook.I am however shocked, that outa all you corvette guys, you havn't ganged up on him and legally shut him down. He is a criminal, and belongs behind bars. J.J.

This dealer is also known by "Phoenix Corvette Center","Corvette Center of Phoenix", and "Phoenix Corvette Sales Limited" I have asked them to send me a copy of my purchase agreement (I left mine at the dealer) the secretary told me I needed to send her a written request, so I did. I followed up on the request to which she replied "I already sent it". I STILL HAVE NOT RECEIVED THE FAX.
