Thank you for having the courage to put your complaint so others can see it. I live in my own house in a neighborhing area, but go to a park right in the area where Mr. Pita is the rental agent for many homes. I have been so harassed and started taking tags, and was taught how to get the registration information. I have done so, and boy when I saw the addresses of the people who followed me day in and day out, they were properties on Riverside Drive, Ridgeway, all houses Mr. Pita rents. I had no idea he rents to parolees. That is not necessarily a bad thing, but it does give you pause wondering why in the world they are following you and using another Pita-managed home nearby.

I'm not arguing the about the original post anymore. I honestly don't care anymore. The post from the insurance company on this website is written by Pita. Yes the one where he names my family members and where they live, all of ky employers names, my arrests, my "fake" military service, pictures of my grandparents, etc. Etc. Which makes it even worse because he has nothing to do with that insurance company. It posted by the same "James" that is posting on this thread in Pitas defense. If you look at the date it matches right up to the date that this post was started. I also have emails from Pita stating that if I take this post down, he will remove that one. Yes I was arrested, in 2004 for a DUI. After that I served 4 years active duty in the Marine Corps with 2 combat tours in Iraq and an Honorable discharge in 08. ecently I was pulled over unknowingly driving on a suspended license because I didn't turn my plates in to N.Y. When I sold my car. So I guess I am a hardened criminal, and an awful human being. I'm glad that you are satisfied with Pita Group, as far as I am concerned Anthony Pita is a scum bag for what he did to me and my family on here. He had no right to do that, and the fact that he has nothing to do with any of it makes it worse. The guy forged my signature on a lease and turned it into PayPal, the guy didn't disclose to me that there was a guy living above me on house arrest, I'm the bad guy though. Still waiting for that court hearing Pita? The forged paperwork from PayPal are on there way Via. Court order.

Come on Jeremy, looking at those pictures of the way you left that rental apartment its only obvious that you forfeited your deposit. Did you really expect to get money back leaving that place like that? I don't know where you have rented before but that is not the way one leaves an apartment wanting any money back. Those text messages posted between you and them show that they were seeking communication, payment or notice of your intent which you apparently failed to give them. I don't see anything on this post to show any personal attack by this landlord on you. I did however see that you do have some mug shots of arrests that come up with your name Jeremy Mark Bruce, as well as a rip off report with something about an insurance company you may owe money to. Perhaps it was their error not being more selective on who they rented the place to. Nothing personal Jeremy but what were you thinking?

I am Jeremy Bruce, hi John. Listen nobody here is bashing his company, he did that himself. I am positive that the majority of his clients are satisfied which is great. What I was simply stating, and the above poster was simply stating is that Mr. Pita accused me of blackmail. Then what does he do? He blackmailed me by posting names and locations of my family members, questions my military record, posts an arrest I had in 2004 for a Driving under the influence, posts the names of the companies I work for, posted pictures of my family members, and emailed me saying that if I remove this post, he will remove the post he made about me. John, I am very glad that you are satisfied and I am not getting into an agruement here about who was right or wrong with the original post.
What I am saying, I had a problem with Anthony Pita and his company Pita group. I didn't post anything about his family, I didn't post pictures of his grandparents. Again, you can view the post by searching Jeremy Bruce in the search bar. My phone number is in there because tony posted it in there. Call me and I will gladly forward you the emails of him blackmailing me. Again John, not arguing who was right or wrong in regards to the original post. I'm over it.
Tell me this, read that post and ask yourself something. If you had a problem with a company, and they did that would you be a little upset? I mean, you had to have been an unsatisfied customer somewhere, at some time and just because you weren't satisfied, doesn't mean they didn't have a million other clients that were completely satisfied. Then the company you have a problem with, accuses you of blackmail, then does just that by posting names, locations, and photos of your family members. You can that these posts were obviously written by the same "James" that is posting on here in Pita Groups defense. So can you now understand why the company posted in anonymity?
I guess I should think twice next time my steak is undercooked at Outback. If you write a bad review, guess your family isn't off limits.
He states that he is bringing me to court in a previous post here, I welcome that. John, I welcome you to come meet the company that posted that anonymously, I asked them to in my defense, and I am glad that you posted on here. They said they would only do it anonymously because of the nature of what they did to me after this post. Thanks, and I look forward to meeting you. Hope everything continues to go well for you.

My name is John Henry Simon and I have been a tenant of Mr. Anthony J. Pita for well over 10 years. I have lived in 2 of his managed properties. He has always been a professional, patient, kind and understanding landlord when things have come up that have caused me to see his assistance. For example, I left for 7 months out of state to care for my elderly aunt before hospice took over in Indiana and he permitted me not only to break my lease he volunteered to store my furniture items for me while I was away at NO cost to me. He would not allow me to pay him for the storage. When I returned my unit was not available so he moved me into another that was priced $150.00 more per month and reduced it for me to make it affordable for me.
FOR THE RECORD, I am not an anonymous soul, like this "alleged" real estate company, as above, I am a real person, and do not have to hide anything due to non obvious reasons. My address is John Simon 4141 Bayshore Blvd Unit 1202 Tampa, FL 33611 and I invite anyone to contact me for a any personal reference or information on this great person, and good soul. I have never known him to be anything but professional, good spirited, and generous. Definitely an asset to the Tampa Bay Housing Community.

We are a Real Estate company based here in Tampa with offices worldwide, and have been in business over 30 years. We are keeping our names private for obvious reasons, nothing seems to be off limits to Pita Group. Mr. Bruce came to us in April of 2011 looking for rental property here in Tampa after he left Pitas residence. He did state all of what was said above when he came in and seemed very frustrated when he came to our office. We did not investigate so I am not going to take any sides in the matter. Mr. Bruce has been nothing but a pleasure in regards to being on time with rent, upkeep, and has even helped with some of our older tenants when they had trouble we could not get to right away.
We were disappointed when he moved out last month to go pursue an education outside of Tampa. As far as Mr. Pita, regardless of your problems with Mr. Bruce, you are a Real Estate company, you should never have taken it to that level. When you run a business, you run it with integrity, regardless of how you feel about a client. I have lost a lot of respect for you and will gladly testify in Mr. Bruce's defense if a case is brought before a judge.

I'm done fighting with this man, regardless of who is right or wrong in this. This man, real estate company, instead of just leaving this matter between himself and I, has made this disgusting. He filed a rip off report, questioning my honorable military service, posted full names and locations of my family members, posted pictures of my grandparents,my grandfather being a respected Lutheran minister of over 60 years all to get me to take this posting down. I have emails from him stating just that from Mr. Pita.
I'm not saying that I am right in any of this, I'm not going to argue with him anymore in fear that he will attack my family even more. This should never have gotten to that, he claims to be a respected real estate company and when a client has a problem this is not how a reputable company solves a situation. You can view his attack on my family by simply searching my name which is mentioned several times in this posting. Jeremy Bruce Tampa, you will also notice that it is posted by "James" who is the same person who is posting on here in Pita's defense.
I say again, not arguing that I am right or he is right. There are plenty of reputable real estate companies in the Tampa Bay area, I strongly recommend using somebody who doesn't viciously attack a client's family who has a problem. I mean everything that I said in previous posts on here, I didn't make anything up, but I just want this to stop in fear of hurting my family even more. Please Mr. Pita, I'm waving the white flag, you can keep my deposit I do not want your money.

Jeremey Mark Bruce has made allegations that are simply not true. The company nor its owner has any Judgements against either party. Judgements have been obtained in favor of us due to delinquent tenants such as Jeremy Mark Bruce. Jeremy Mark Bruce, as documented continued to try to blackmail the victim of this attack. Jeremy Mark Bruce has left us no other option that to seek a legal remedy for his breach of contract, unpaid due rents, damages to the rental dwelling, as well his personal victimization and attacks. We did not succumb to his monetary demands, and he has made true to his word using this publication to perpetuate falsehoods.

Anthony Pita states that in his 20 years of doing business that he has never had problems with tenants. Pleas let the 2 pages, and 50+ Judgements filed against him in the Hillsborough County Clerk of Court show that, that is incorrect. Mr. Pita also filed a "Rip Off Report" naming Mr. Bruce's family members, including posting a photo of his grandmother and grandfather who is a highly respected Lutheran Minister of over 60 years in an attempt to have Mr. Bruce remove this post. Mr. Bruce has shown me emails from Anthony Pita stating just that. Although Mr. Bruce did leave items behind, not in the matter that these pictures show, he invites Mr. Pita to post the video of the window being broken. In fact Mr. Bruce states that he will hand deliver it to the police department. There is no need to damage the credibility of Anthony Pita any further, the records available online will do that.

rented a 1 bedroom apartment in a quiet residential neighborhood directly from representative of the owner who is a Trustee, and is not a licensed realtor nor claimed to be one as well.
Mr. Bruce reported an arrest on his application and a poor credit history which was overlooked for him as a courtesy and waived as well as the application fees as he claimed to have served in the military. He was granted the apartment in November 2010 and shortly moved in thereafter. There was never a complaint reported by him about any issues related to the rental dwelling nor his neighbors during his entire rental tenure.
When the payment of February 1, 2011 was missed a text message was sent to him as such:
Landlord: Feb 16, 2011 12:36PM Let me know what you found out about FEB Rent payment. Thank you.
Mr. Bruce Feb 16, 2011 1:01PM For some reason paypal refunded my payment on the second of feb. I just sent it again.That was weird

He did not respond to the last text message and left the home is shambles like if he had moved out in less than 10 minutes as if law enforcement was pursuing him. There were dirty dishes in the sink, personal items thrown over every filthy over every surface and hypodermic needles throw about every corner of the dwelling. There were broken ceramic tiles on the floor where he had used a weight lifting bench and broke the tiles under the weights because he did not use a pad or protector under the weights. (a very costly damage) Dents in the drywall, punched out interior doors, which all had to be replaced, and over 2 trailers worth of garbage that was left behind by this tenant.
He did not pay rent for February 2011 until February 16th 2011 and did not pay the March 2011 at all. He gave no notice whatsoever to us that he was vacating the premises, Most tenants of our are removed after non paying for 3 days or more. He was given leeway due to his military duty. Mr. Bruce never notified the owner, trustee, nor office of any concerns with his dwelling at all until after he departed and wanted a refund. He was not owed any refund due to the fact that he did not give any notice of vacating, and left the premises in poor condition that the dwelling could not be rented for more than a month to repair the damages that he left behind. He was sent a letter by Florida statue to the address of the property as he did not provide a forwarding address notifying him of our intent to put a claim on his entire deposit due to these documented facts. Pictures are available for review.
He did not respond to the letter and opened a claim with PayPal to dispute his payment of February 2011. All the emails and text messages were provided to paypal documenting the fact that he had consumed the monies paid by living in the dwelling for that time and was not legally entitled to any refund of any kind. He made false statements to paypal saying that he had not received the items purchased, that being the dwelling during that time. Paypal sided with us and released the funds to us based on these facts.
As our text to him above states had he needed to leave for whatever reason had he just called us to speak to us rather than get on the defensive making false allegations and threats we would have tried to accommodate him anyway we could have. We have been renting houses since 1989 and have had only less than 10 evictions in over 20 years and kept deposits less than 3 times. he immediately began threatening us with libelous accusations that were false and we could not reason with him in any way. What we find ironic, is had he just been nice about this we would have likely helped him further. His attitude may have been better but they may be partially attributed to his young age.
We did not post his other recent emails that were threatening in manner and tone that may be considered criminal. Also shortly after loosing the pay pal dispute the front door glass of the unit was shattered by a large rock that was thrown from the street at an additional cost of over $300 to repair. Video security cameras do capture the view from the unit but again we are not litigious people and do not wish harm on anyone.
The only person that may have been probation or parole in the entire dwelling was Mr. Jeremy M. Bruce, no other tenant had a criminal history and the tenants above him were a group mentally challenged individuals that have never been a problem to anyone in the several years they have lived there.
