My family of four and I decided to get pizza after a trip shopping at the mall. We stopped at the local Pizza Hut for what I thought would be a good reasonably priced meal for my family. The price was ok but that was all that was good.

We ordered 2 medium specialty pizzas, 2 orders of breadstix and of course 5 pepsis. After the waitress brought our food out, we noticed a strange smell about the food. It smelled like window cleaner mixed with garbage. I know that may sound strange, but that is best way I know how to describe it.

I decided that before my family tried the food that I would try it out first. I got a piece of the pizza and took a bite. It tasted like soap. Obviously, one of the employees at this pizza hut had put something in our pizza. I was furious and demanded our money back. The manager told me that it was not pizza huts policy to refund cash and that their policy was to give only credit on future orders. I informed her that I was not going to eat at pizza hut anymore. She told me that I would have to call the area coach whose name is Preston.

We left the store and i called the number when I got home. That was 3 weeks ago and pizza hut still hasn't refunded my money or contacted me. That figures.

I noticed that the Amerihuts franchises in Blount County have been reported before on this site for various things. You would think that the Corporate Offices of Pizza Hut would care more for their reputation. I guess they don't. At this point, I don't care whether I get my money back. I just wonder how many people and families have eaten at our area pizza huts and gotten sick.

I've never seen management so poor and uncaring. I'm contemplating filing a police report on this issue and a sub-sequent lawsuit. We don't need companies like this operating in our county.

Just in case this hasn't been mentioned before, this is an ADF operated store. The area supervisor is Preston Arnwine. He can be reached at (865) 984-4340.

Pizza Hut made my grandbaby sick, 9 days in the intensive care unit .

Pizza Hut has always been lousy. I wouldn't feed their food to my hogs.

Good luck trying to contact ADF. They don't even have a web-site. Looks to me like they are hiding from something like law suits.

My grandbaby got sick there one time and had to spend 9 days in the intensive care unit at Clidren's Hospital. The doctors all said it was from salmonella. The last place she ate was at Pizza Hut near the mall with her cousins. The doctors were able to take a sample and send it to the CDC in Atlanta. It was from tainted ham that ADF was putting on the pizzas.

I hope they shut these people down. I did find out that the person in charge of this area is Preston Arnwine. His office is in Alcoa at the Hannum St. store. The number is (865) 984-4340. I've tried to call but he's always gone. I always leave a message, but he never calls me back. We are going to sue them.

Amerihuts is criminal. lack of caring by corporate management.

What happened to you and your family is ridiculous and unforgivable. The fact that you weren't refunded your money shows the lack of caring by corporate management. I noticed on one of the other threads concerning another Pizza Hut in our area that they are run by Amerihuts which is a franchisee. They are quickly gaining a bad reputation in our county.

Couldn't this be construed as an assault? Couldn't this be a criminal offense? If you try to poison someone, then it should be prosecutable. Have you notified the Maryville Police Department of this situation? You should.
