Poetry.com Poetry.com is run very differently now and is greatly improved Internet
Since its creation, Poetry.com has been run by several different managements and agencies. Yes, it is correct that these former owners operated the site using shady scams and an almost complete disregard for their poets, but now Poetry.com is under a new management that has abolished the scams and is currently working very hard to provide a free, happy place for poets to post their work.
They are also working hard to restore a reputation that was so horrible, it seemed like a joke. The site was a wreck when the new management took over, but they are working diligently to fix their reputation. You won't find any publishing scams, and if you email the administrators, not only will they reply in a timely manner, they will do their best to fix whatever problem that you present to them.
I think that the new Poetry.com is a worthy website, and that if you give it a second chance, you will find a remarkably improved, thriving poetry community.
