Please don't buy a watch from this company! This happened at the kiosk at the Westfield Shopping Center in El Cajon, CA 92020, but it is regarding the entire company.

If you try to return a watch 2 days after buying it, still in the box, and with the receipts and sack, and never worn (except for 10 mins. to realize that you can't read the face) they will say, "Oh, this watch has a scratch on it and I won't be able to resell it." This is what happened to me after buying a $100. Skagen.

I am 62 years old and I have never been treated so disrespectfully by a store in my life. I bought the watch on Friday, returned on Sunday and the girl said, "You have to come back on Wednesday when my manager is here." I said, "I'm going on vacation on Wednesday." She said, "Oh, I forgot, you can come back tomorrow."

So I drove back to the kiosk on Monday to return the watch. The watch hadn't been worn, I had the receipt, the box, the bag, everything. I just wanted them to credit my card. The girl took a long time looking at the watch. Then she said, "I have to make a call."

After being on the phone for about 8 minutes she came back and told me that she couldn't take the watch back because there was a "scratch on it" and it had been "resized" (the band just had a latch that had been moved in-no taking out links or shortening of the band or anything).

I tried to reason with her. She wouldn't budge. I asked her the name and number of who she was on the phone with.
She called the person back and gave me the phone to talk to him. I made my case with him. I just wanted them to take back the watch and credit my credit card. He was rude, disrespectful, accused me of arguing with him, and finally he said, "we won't take the watch back."

I asked him his name. He said: "James Thomas" I asked what his position was in the company. He said Training Manager. I asked where he is located. He said, "The Bakersfield Store." I am writing this in hopes to spare someone else the grief and stress that I am going through in order to force them to honor the return policy. I feel sorry for the young people who are being trained to "lie and rip people off" this is bad for their character and for our society.

Return policy

Unfortunately, they are following thier published return policy:

" All returned item(s) must be received back with the security tag intact, in their original packaging, along with all accessories, links, blank warranty cards, manuals, bonus gifts, etc., and must not be modified in any way. This includes watch and jewelry sizing. If the security tag has been removed, your item may not qualify for return. ANY SIGNS OF WEAR, REMOVAL OF PARTS, WILL RESULT IN REFUSAL OF YOUR RETURN. Once you remove the security tag or wear or modify the watch, it is not returnable and is solely subject to the warranty provided. Click on the Warranty Policy for full warranty information. "

You didn't say if the security tag was removed, but you did wear and modify the watch even if it was to just change the band size. It sounds like they only accept returns on products that are unopened and never worn.
