I was at a site that offers a chance to win a prize and I entered my info. I got a text with a PIN number that I had to enter. Then I got a text saying I had signed up for $9.99 monthly service. I sent "STOP" text right away, within seconds.

Well, I was charged the $9.99 anyway. I called to complain and they said everyone is charged for one month whether you cancel on day 29 or in seconds. They said that the text with the PIN said that when I entered the PIN I'd be charged. I told her that was bull and give me a supervisor.

Once I got a supervisor, I told her that I had saved all texts, both from them and mine to them and the Better Business Bureau would be getting copies of all of them unless I got my refund.

Well, all of a sudden they would allow my refund. It is supposed to come in the form of a check within 10 business days.

So......keep your proof so you won't get screwed by them.

Please note we use an industry best practice double opt-in to prevent inadvertent or fraudulent sign-ups.  To enroll in our service, a prospective member must first submit their cell phone number on the PredictoMobile sign-up page which clearly explains our terms and conditions including the monthly price of the service and billing to the cell phone.  We then send a text message to their cell phone which again discloses the essential membership terms.  They then must correctly enter the PIN on our website or reply with a confirmation SMS message from their cell phone to activate the account.  The double opt-in process and clear disclosures ensures a high level of consumer protection and satisfaction.
