PRESTIGE LOAN SERVICES Yeah it's a ripoff Waterville, Maine
I had the same situation as the other two stories I noticed on this website. My loan rep. was named Patrick Callahan, and he also wanted 6 months payment in advance for a loan of 5000 dollars. After sending my information I was about to send him my bank account info and then wire the money through western union to him when I noticed that this company had been posted on this page as a ripoff scam.
The entire deal seemed shady to begin with, he told me my credit was bad but they have a deal where they have individuals offer loans, then I would wire the first 6 months payment to that person and they would then send me the loan. Looking at it now it seems an incredibly stupid idea, but I needed money. Thank God I read the report filed from that lady from New Jersey, or I wouldve been out 700 dollars!
I had never applied for a loan before so I was very unfamiliar with how it actually works. NO bank is going to give you a 5000 dollar loan with bad credit and you have to wire them money. And they have no email. Never a good sign.
