Prestige Solutions Scam! Casselberry Florida
I found Prestige Solutions on CareerBuilder.com. I thought it was suspicious that I received an e-mail the next day saying to call to schedule an interview. I called the company and set up an interview at 4:30pm. I arrived to the suite, and the first thing I saw were bright red walls and heard blaring pop music in the small lobby. I said and the receptionist, Alex, gave me a clip board with two papers to fill out about myself and what I knew about marketing.
Several minutes later a lady came out to greet me and took me back to her office. She asked me if I'm currently employed, and what brought me to sales. She then proceeded to rattle off what the company does, which sell products from AT&T to businesses. Your day would start at 8:30am and would be in meetings and workshops until 10:30am. Then after that you would be out selling to clients until 6:30pm. She then said that she will interviewing more and she would call me to set up another interview if they liked me. My interview barely lasted 5 minutes. I wasn't able to ask any questions, and I was rushed out. Very suspicious.
Not even 2 hours later, Alex rang me to schedule a second interview. The second interview would have be job shadow an account manger from 10:30AM-5:30PM. I said thank you and hung up. I immediatly called my mom and she said it sounded too good to be true. I decided to do my own research and it definitely sounds like a scam from reading other potential employees' reviews. After reading the reviews I have decided not attend the job shadowing. I also understand that they were also under the name of GQ Imports. There are a ton of bad reviews about them with a very similar story to mine.
Beware and do not get pulled into this pyramid scheme!
