PriceBreak!Shipping changed the contract price new york, New York
after calling round a few companies , i decided to use pricebreak, i dealt with a girl called jennifer and i was very questionable about things as ive seen bad reports on many companies. i didnt have a lot to ship but initially we estimated for about 20 boxes or 100 cubic feet. i chose the door to door service , and when i finally got packed and ready to sign up i advised them i only had 16 boxes. when she faxed me the contract it had on there 100 minimum, and i queried that as we had previusley discussed i wouldnt have that much. she re sent the contract with a minimum of 80 c/f on it now and i was told by jennifer it would be measured at the depot and if its more it will go up and if its lower then the price will go down. i went to the bank and made an initial deposit of 250 dollars , and then get contacted by there customer service to advise me of a palatizing charge i was never told about. i queried the cubic feet and was told it was 74, so i said can you recalculate the costs for the lower amount. i was dealing with a very rude mr bells , who tells me that the price for a 100 cubic feet is the same as 50,60 70 80 or90 it doesnt matter. what they should say is there is a minimum CHARGE . i could have sent more stuff to make up the 100, had they not lied to me to get the order. mr bells tells me i should go use another company, and if for the fact it was in the container , he was adamant on sending it back to me. i am still battling with them over this lie, and have been informed when it lands at destination , they will hold and charge me storage, pirate tactics to say the least. do not use this company , as even if you think you have covered your bases , they change the rules when you have sent and paid them money... held to ransom comes to mind
