Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I had seen an ad online about Prime Legal Experts that could help me improve my credit.  I am a single mom of three kids working two jobs and a full time student barely being able to stay afloat.  I knew my credit need help from some mistakes I had made in the past being younger and got in way over my head and now had debt and bad credit to show for it.  I wanted to improve my credit but knew I didn't have a lot of money to be able to pay off what I owed.  So i called prime legal experts.

They promised me they could get items removed off my credit but statues of limitations and help improve my score.  First they charged me 59.99 for a credit report and told me they would send me a copy to my email and have a representative call me that following Monday.  I waited all weekend and never received an email.  Monday a representative named mathew called me and made me all these promises saying he could improve my credit by 120 points with in three to six months.

I asked him why I was never sent copy of my credit report.  He stated he had sent it and would send it again. I finally received one after asking three times.  He also told me my credit didn't have anything that bad on my report.  Then he told me it would charge me $450 and they would split it up into two payments of $225.  I paid the first payment of $225 on April 1st, 2013. The transaction showed on my account with in 30 minutes.  I was sent documents through email to sign electronically.  One of the forms included a notice of cancellation form.

In the cancellation form it stated I could cancel services for a refund if form was signed and email, mailed, or hand delivered by midnight on the 5th day after starting services beginning the first day after the day of starting services.  I was also sent an email to login to my account where I could keep updated on all services being provided to improve my credit.  I was sent a user name and password.  Also they asked for me to send copy of my Identification and social security card, etc.  I tried to log in to my account and it said user info incorrect.

So I tried calling the number I was given to prime legal experts for help and emailed several times over four days with no response. I would call and they would leave you hold for several minutes just to send you to a voicemail.   By the 5th day I finally called the number I called in the beginning to start up services.  I started to complain telling them I needed help and could not get no response. It was odd that the phone was disconnect three times as soon as I told them my situation.

Finally I called back again and threatened to cancel services telling them I was very upset I couldn't even get help with an issue and I felt like I was being scammed.  They told me they would have my representative contact me back as soon as possible and apologized.  Then a gentleman named Brian called me back 10 minutes later and asked me what he could help me with saying he had responded back to my emails I sent and didn't understand why I didn't receive them.  Must have been the same reason I never received copies of credit report they said they had sent.

Its funny how out of all emails I couldn't receive theirs.  I told Brian my problem about logging in to account and he said it was working for him but when I kept telling him it still wouldn't let me access he apologized to me and told me he didn't know else to tell me.  Then and there I hung up and decided to email a copy of the signed notice of cancellation to get my money back.   I sent the form with an email stating why I was cancelling services.  I had read on line of other people having the same complaints and the whole thing being a scam.

With in two hours I seen the money of $225 back in my account.  I must say I was surprised to see it back in my account that soon.  Then on the following day 4-6-2013 a transaction was made by prime legal consulting of $225.  I do not understand how they charged my account again after cancelling and this transaction was unauthorized.  I'm very upset and I will be filing a claim with my bank over the transaction, already having all the necessary paper work needed, first thing in the morning.  Hope this goes well I feel as though I have been screwed enough.

Another thing is they told me they were located in Los Angelas, California.  Even the number they called from the first time showed up as that city and state.  However on my account of transactions it says PRIME LEGAL CONSULTING 888-2291845 Nevada.   This company should be shut down.  I know I may have been vulnerable and gullable to think a company could possibly follow through with actually removing items from my credit report but it shouldn't give them the right to scam innocent people of money.  I am already in some debt I don't have the money to be flushing down the toilet.  They have target and scammed a lot of people. This is wrong and should be illegal.

EDitor's Suggestions on how to get your money back!

HERE IS WHAT RIP-OFF REPORT SUGGESTS YOU DO:

Go to your bank within 60 days of the charge, or as soon as you know about the charge, don't delay, and tell them that there has been fraudulent activity within your account. Explain that you wish to file a dispute, and demand that they assist you in accordance with Federal Regulation E.

According to the majority of victims interviewed by Rip-off Report, those who immediately called their banks to dispute the charges did not get very far. Many victims got the following responses from their banks: we could not do anything for you or you waited too long; it has been more than 60 days.

If the bank is says that you have waited too long, explain to them how you called their 800 number as soon as the charges were found, and were told by the bank that nothing could be done. Remind the bank that they failed to assist you properly at the 800 #, and instead, provided you with an inadequate explanation of your right to dispute. Tell the bank that it's their fault time has expired, and since they gave you the wrong info to begin with, they will just have to deal with it, take the loss and reverse the charges.

Tell them the truth; this was unauthorized and your account was NOT to be charged! Keep emphasizing how you never authorized anything! Direct them to the hundreds of victims reports that were filed on Rip-off Report.com. And if you're at the bank, walk them over to their computer and make them go to this site! If you are on the phone with them, tell them you will wait while they access this site! Either way, be persistent!

DO NOT TAKE NO FOR AN ANSWER!

Let them know nicely, that you were advised to Report them (the Bank) and this situation to the Banking Commission in your state. Since each state has a different name for the agency/controller over banks, find that name before you call or get to the bank so you can throw it in their face. The more knowledgeable you appear to be, the further you will get.

And just continue to demand the Federal Regulation E form! The bank CAN, MUST and WILL reverse the charge! But, you must be persistent; ask to speak to the supervisor or the area manager for all the branches in the state.

Let the bank personnel know you are meeting with the media later in the day, that you would much rather they do the right thing (as most other banks have) by looking at the complaints and immediately reversing the charge(s) to your account; no matter how long ago it was. Be sure to call the Media if necessary so you are telling the truth.

If you have to, be loud (but nice) in front of other customers. If you are just calling by phone, the above tactics should still work. The bank can easily fax or mail to you the Federal Regulation E dispute form.

CHARGES TO YOUR CREDIT CARD

If the charge was to your credit card (not debit card, check card, or checking account), contact the credit card company as soon as possible to request a dispute form. Consumers usually have a little longer to dispute fraudulent credit card charges (up to 6 months), but it is better to act right away. In this type of situation, credit card disputes are usually successful since fraudulent companies often won't contest the disputed charge. In rare cases, credit card companies will review disputes, but refuse to reverse the charges. If this occurs, complain to a manager and let them know you will be filing a report here.

Remember Don't let them get away with it! Make sure they make the Rip-off Report .. The more Reports filed on a Company or individual, the more likely it is that the authorities, media and attorneys will want to take action.

And good luck Let us know how you do!
