I was approached by Primerica a couple of days ago. The Rep. left a message on my answering machine about how they train Go Getters for management positions and that a friend had recommended me.
First flag: They didn't give the name of the company in this message. (after reading the Rip Off Report, I know why)
Second flag: First thing I asked when I talked with the Rep. was "Who gave you my name?" They said David Sl----- (muffled and slurred last name) I said "I do not know anyone named David." The Rep. kind of fumbled and said "Oh....." and changed back to the memorized speech.
Third Flag: I had to ask the name of the company twice, Twice, before I got a muffled slurred Promerica (that is not a spelling error, that is how it was pronounced to me) Financial Services. I found the real name in the phone book.
Fourth Flag: Being an X Amway person I felt the recruiting had a familiar ring. I ask the rep if there was any High Pressure sales involved. The Rep. said "Oh No, you will not have do any sales........" The Rep. would not give me any more info on the phone, so I set up meeting in 2 days. (This was to give me time to investigate Primerica)
So, I booted up the Internet and did a search. Read through all the info on Primerica web site. It SCREAMED Amway Clone, which at that time, I knew I didn't want anything to do with Primerica. Then I found this site, Rip Off Report. I read through all the postings and saw the responses of these so called professional business people. I never saw so much High School Mentality and Belittling, it was an instant turn off to Primerica. I just wish I would have seen Rip Off Report first, I would not have went to the Primerica site and saved a few hours of my time. Keep up the good work Rip Off Report!
Just Say NO!
