I received a call today at WORK from this guy named "Kevin" saying he got my name and number from his "wife" and talked about how impressed she was with me and my professionalism. I manage a reputable retail location in Norman, OK and apparently this lady came into my store and talked to me. He asked me if my career options were open and told me how he worked for CitiGroup and asked me if I've ever heard of them. I said of course I've heard of them, plenty of my money goes to them every month with credit cards and a personal loan.

He was telling me about a new department called "Expansion Plans" and he was looking for about 8-9 people to be the supervisor of this group. I got his name and number I was in a situation where I couldn't talk at that very moment. I called back and he answered the phone PRIMERICA (which he NEVER mentioned that company in his earlier spill). He told me that I would be starting out PART-TIME and that I would be part time for approximently 60 days. The hours were very flexible and all he needed me to do was come in for a 30 minute interview.

I told him I needed to kick the idea around in my head that it would be a BIG step for me to take considering I'd take about a $1500 a month PAYCUT from what he was telling me my salary would be. Needless to say, after doing a Yahoo search I stumbled on this site and found out I'm NOT the only one that received a scam job offer. Although he never mentioned the $199 I'd have to PAY!!! Why should I PAY SOMEONE to hire me??!!?? Thanks for the offer PRIMERICA but I have to DECLINE the job.

Hello in OK from Upstate NY. Let me start out by saying that I am not at all an advocate for Primerica, so I am not defending them. However the $199 is an investment in YOUR business; a start up fee if you may... What's included in that $199 is a 40-hour Life Insurance Pre-licensing course. You take the course, pass the test (mine was an extra $63), and bingo, not a bad investment! But Buyer Beware. Up here we have Bryant & Stratton schools that will teach you Life, Accident, and Health for $329. So you do the math and tell me which one works out better. Just FYI... Fortunately, that was my only mistake w. them as I didn't stick around long. I hired on w. an awesome co that does business PROFESSIONALLY, and more important, offers choices! The compensation structure is the best I've seen and we are growing nationally. I'd be more than happy to share my learning experiences w. you or anyone else for that matter.
