They told me that my book would be in book stores like barnes and noble no way.An author with publish america have to buy thier own book to get a royality check. January 2009 i get e-mail from them saying buy one book at retail price and that i could have any other amount of my book for free sounded like a hell of a deal for an old poor boy so i thought that might help me so i called told the lady i't like to do that and wanted 100 copies of my book thats when she informed me that the have to have $5.99 shipping on each book ya i said the same thing.Anyway i told her it wasn't nothing but another ripoff by publish america to get the authors to buy more books. thanks for reading this.

I am a Publish America Author or rather Victim and let me say that in the state of Indiana where I live Barnes and Nobles, Books A Million, Waldens(which is now out of buisness), and many local book stores that aren't chains could not carry my book because of the price points  and the return policy. They advertise BnN and BAM, and Borders will carry their books-all I can say is contact these book stores and you will find out what I did and what I have in writing that says they are unable to carry the books. My closest BAM was willing to have a book signing with me if I consigned the books-well even at my PA discount-I couldn't afford it. None of my local media got press kits that I was promised and all these foreign events such as the German,London, and Paris bookfairs and the AARP and the NY Book Expo-PA was not even listed! I have the phone bills to prove where I called-the whole deal about authors like James Patterson,John Grisham, and Nora Roberts endorsing their books is a farce! I contacted these authors's publishing houses and got curt emails saying that their authors were not endorsing nor would they because they are not contracted by Publish America. Authors who are under contract with a publishing house cannot receive manuscripts or endorse them. The only people PA peddles books to is the authors themselves. I sent my manuscript out to 70 publishers and you know what...I wish I hadn't been in such a rush and took the first fish that bit my hook. I'm trying now to get out of my contract which is not the standard according to 2 lawyers who both have said standard publishing contracts are 2-3 years  not 7.

Going by the content of your post, it is clear that PublishAmerica is by and far, the only place you could ever publish your "work". You use no indication of when your sentence stops, when you are tying two thoughts together, or anything. PA will publish anyone. You just proved it.
